Everything fine
Booking on a Friday in the Financial district is a bargain. The hotels in the area offer great rates on a Friday. Boston is small vs. New York, so it doesn't really matter that you are not exactly where you need to be: most areas (like the Theater district) are a nice walk, and the T is pretty good as well. The hotel was fine, but didn't offer a gym which would have been useful. Staff were great with directions. Room wasn't new and wasn't 5 star, but it was clean and comfortable and the price was great.

If you want to be in Boston
My family has been going here since the second world war. So I kind of like the continuity. But as we all know, things do change over time, and lets face it, The Omni Parker was built in 1927 not 2012.. But, if you want to stay at a clean, comfortable hotel in Boston proper with terrific easy central access to all of Boston both old and new, with a great friendly staff, at a reasonable price, I'm not clear why you would want to stay anywhere but the Parker.

Time-saving tip:
Short walk from hotel
Easy access to and from the rapid transit system of Boston including all Orange, Red, and Green lines allows for easy travel in and around Boston without the hassle of driving in a city not designed for automobiles..

Great location
Great location in regards to walking to most of Boston's tourist attractions. Accommodations were very good, price paid for a weekend night was $122 inc tax. Valet parking is $40\day...but parked in a nearby garage for $18/24 hrs weekend rate.

Awesome historic vibe in Boston
Had never went to Boston before. Decided to check it out with the lady b/w xmas and new years. Booked the Omni Parker b/c it seemed like a cool spot and we were not disappointed. Yeah, the rooms are not huge, but we had a perfect two days. The lobby is buslting, and the vibe is just so perfectly historic, for this time of year I would highly recommend this hotel. Only gripe is they charge for internet, but if you join their free loyalty program they waive the fee, and it was easy to join.

Silver Tone bar around the corner was the best value for non-pub food we found in the area. Really cool spot, try the lobster mac and cheese!

Old school charming and great value.
Rooms are small but they are very clean and the hotel is conveniently located. On the down side, parking is impossible, the Hotel parking garage charges $40.00 per night to pahk the cah. The hotel bar and restaurant are good and affordable but not for breakfast because they charge $25.00 a plate for a small buffet style breakfast. Even with these two small bumps in the road we would recommend and stay again....

Another great stay
I had a great stay at the Omni again. Always welcoming staff. Always extremely clean. The only thing negative about this stay was the work that was being done to the road outside my window but that was not the hotels fault. I will always recommend this hotel to anyone who visits boston. The rooms are small but when you are in a city like that you only need the room to sleep and then you are out and about again.
