Best value and location
We always stay here when in Boston and will continue to do so. It is right downtown and close to the T for easy access everywhere. Great service, and the beds are the most comfortable of any hotel I have stayed at. I do miss the High Teas which are no longer served and the bouquets that used to grace the fabulous lobby. But I'm sure they are keeping up with the times. Excellent hotel! Susan

I was there for my son's college graduation. The location was convenient. the room was clean and comfortable but expensive. there was no view.I found out another member of my party stayed on the concierge floor for the same price but I was not offered that option when looking for a room reservation.

Area ,hotel staff very good. Room OK, could see that it was once 2 rooms made into one. glad my wife and I are on the small side. Any " larger " person would have a difficult time using the bathroom. Most of the time we would have to stand in the hallway to dry off.

Old hotel with not even a mini- fridge
I was rather disappointed in the hotel. The lobby is old-world ornate and gorgeous. The rooms however were dingy, old and did not measure up. The lack of even a mini fridge to get a cold bottle of water or to store a bottle of water was reminiscent of a cheap hotel or motel. The only good things were the toiletries and coffee/beverage set up.

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
Easy walk to Boylston street for casual dining restaurants like Panera etc for meals. China town is also around the corner for some variety in dining and sight-seeing/

conference trip
The location is great. I had no complaints about the hotel. The only thing is that on Monday morning there was quite a bit of noise, which turned out to be because they were doing something with the wiring on our wing. When i checked-in i was given a free upgrade on my room which was nice :) Overall it was a comfortable and pleasant stay while attending a conference in the area.

Great location for the price
Stay was only for one night and am very familiar with Boston area. The location of the hotel can get you anywhere by public transportation relatively quickly. Comparing the price to nearby hotels, you can't beat it. Was a bit disappointed with room temperature as we didn't seem to have control over it and the variety of vending options not to appealing.

best weekend
for the price, this hotel is AMAZING. it's location is IDEAL and all the staff are helpful. the view from your rooms (if you're above the 10th floor) is great and everything needed is somewhere around the hotel. parking is somewhat of a hassle so it's better to just rely on the valet parking that the hotel provides. all in all, the next time in boston, i don't want to stay anywhere else.

if you're going to boston you might be attracted more toward a cheaper hotel located myb 10mls out the center. the free parking is good, but this hotel is worth the stay and for a few bucks more it is def an UPGRADE from you're average hotel chain franchise. diverse food places are within 5min walks and i enjoyed pf changs and legal seafood that were both 1 block away.

overnight stay
This hotel is in a great location---it was perfect for me and the events I had to attend. Hotel is lovely, and staff was very accommodating and friendly. I am sure that everyone comments on the ridiculously small size of the bathrooms. There is hardly any shelf space, and when you open the door, you feel like you will end up in the bathtub. The elevators also gave me pause. They shake a lot. I think an inspection is needed immediately.

good for location/price
If you need something for a quick getaway, its a good hotel for the location and price. I just thought the rooms (& bathrooms) would be a little nicer since its in such a little ritzy area. But how much time are you honestly spending in your hotel room anyway? I'd stay there again. I don't need fancy!
