Hotel is in a great location, close to B/W Pkwy, Rt. 95, and shopping. The room was clean (but the carpet could use some work). The bed was very comfortable. Would stay there again.

WE ENJOYED EVERY MINUTE OF OUR STAY AND STAYED FOR TWO CONSECUTIVE WEEKENDS SINCE WE HAD EVENTS TO ATTEND IN THE MARYLAND AREA. WE LOVED THE SERVICES ESPECIALLY THE FIRMNESS OF THE MATTRESS. I WISH THEY HAD A LITTLE MORE VARIETY FOR THE BREAKFAST SUCH AS BACON OR SAUSAGES TO GO WITH THE EGGS.

The channel list did not include ESPN and there was no clock in the room. Other than that, the hotel was fine. The room was clean and the staff was friendly.

I just needed a quiet, comfortable place to stay for a few days while in the area (would be spending a lot of time in the room for R&R), and this hotel fit the bill. The room was clean and spacious, and the staff was very friendly. Don't expect the lap of luxury, but it is an excellent value. This hotel was very affordable, and in a great location. There are dozens of restaurants withing walking distance or a very short drive, so you won't run out of dining options. The bed, couch, and even the desk chair were all very comfortable. I spent a significant amount of time in the desk chair, and it was of high quality. I would have very few real complaints on this location, but here are a few things to be aware of. The carpet around the coffee table and hideaway sofa bed was worn, and could stand to be replaced, but it didn't diminish my overall stay. One piece of molding was falling off the room divider, but again, had no effect whatsoever on my stay. Overall, the hotel was quiet, but if it was overly busy, and people would have been running around making a lot of noise in the hallways, you definitely would have heard it. The doors don't mask sound very well. It didn't pose a problem on my trip, but could, depending on the other guests at the hotel. The TV worked well, but it would be nice to see it upgraded to a flat panel (although that's nitpicking for the value of this hotel). There weren't a lot of channels (about 25), but they were, for the most part, the ones I like to watch, and pretty well covered everything I wanted. Overall, this was a good stay, and an excellent overall value for the price.

Satisfactory. Room was large, beds ok. Pillows dinky. Ate at their TexMex restaurant which gave 15% discount and was a good value. Breakfast make your own waffles were great. Staff was friendly. Pool had horrible hours, closed at 8. Did seem to be some good eating close by, we decided to just walk over to their restaurant to save time.

there was a problem (not the hotels falt)with water and we had a full day and night without. the problem was that the hotel personel did not seem to care and finally they made arrangements at another hotel.

It was great...quiet and clean. I wish I had received the receipt at check out time. Their printer was broke.. But the stay is highly recommend. It was a perfect location. close to everything.We enjoyed the stay.

I booked a room for new years eve at this hotel. Even though several of the reviews were poor, the price was right and I did not think we would be there much anyway. When I reserved the room online; I booked a smoking room. Upon check in, they put us in a non-smoking room. So, I called down to the desk, and instead of them bringing us new keys and taking us to the smoking room. I had to schlep down to the front desk and get new keys and move. Upon getting in the smoking room; there were no ashtrays. I called down and they said someone would be right up with ashtrays. We NEVER got an ashtray. I went to get ice; and could not find an ice machine in the building. I called down to the front desk and was told to come there; and they would show me were it is. I went to the desk with my ice bucket; and was told to go to the end of the next building and up the stairs. I asked if that was the only ice machine for the whole complex. I was told all of the others are broken. While there, I asked for ashtrays. The man said they dont have any right now, and gave me four styrofoam cups and said someone would bring the ashtrays in 30 minutes. After two days, we still had no ashtrays; and made several long walks to the ice machine. In short, the customer service was TERRIBLE. The rooms were clean enough though.

Staff was friendly and helpful, rooms were clean, needs to be update. Breakfast is minimal.

I travel in a band, and we needed a room for 2 adults, non-smoking, with 2 beds for 1 night, and it needed to be not too far from the D.C. area, yet in a nice, safe area, and easy to hop back on the highway so we could continue to our next stop in O.C., MD. The price was right, the room was clean and didn't smell at all, well-appointed w/fridge & microwave, comfy beds, nice shower, and the elevator & luggage cart was a welcome thing too, since we had a lot of stuff to lug! My only tiny complaint is that our room faced the road, and there was a lot of traffic/truck noise early in the morning. Next time we'll just ask for a room in the back. But it really was a nice stay otherwise! The staff was nice too! Would definitely recommend!

You do get what you pay for. Served its purpose.

This hotel was horrible. It was supposed to be in a certified nonsmoking room, however, when I checked in very late the first evening, I walked in to find an ashtray and a stench of chemical coverup spray that had my eyes watering all night. There were fleas in the room as evidenced by the small dog that was staying in the room two doors down. I was placed in room in the back of the hotel and was treated to nothing but the sound of cars with stereos blaring driving back and forth all night, people yelling and walking up and down. I travel a lot for school and business alone and this was the first time I was afraid to close my eyes. It was so late at night and I had to be out so early in the morning to get to school after a 5 hour drive that there was no way to find another hotel for the last night and as I would not receive a refund, I stuck it out but I will never stay there again. Their "continental breakfast" consisted of a few bagels. I stayed there so that I could eat before leaving for 9 hours of class but thank goodness there was a grocery store down the street and a working microwave in the room so I could buy food to cook. The fridge in the room barely kept anything cool so I ended up taking all of my cold food with me to school for both days and stored them in the fridge at school. I will NEVER stay at this hotel again and I will just have to save up more money to stay at a better hotel each month for the next two years so that at least I can have a decent night's sleep and not be a zombie while in classes.

This is an awful hotel. I am writing this on the last night of my stay. Because I had prepaid for the room, if I left and went somewhere else for the second night, I would have been out even more money. I was "guaranteed" a nonsmoking room. When I arrived very late in the evening the room turned out to be a smoking room with a chemical cleaning stench that had my coughing all night. There were fleas in the room and I am bitten up. I was put in a room on the ground floor in the back of the hotel and was treated all night to the sound of yelling, doors slamming, cars driving back and forth through the parking lot with their stereos blaring. I travel every month to grad school and also to conferences, so I travel quite a bit and it gets costly. Hence, there comes a time when you have to pinch the pennies. I stayed here because of the fridge in the room (which barely kept anything I purchased to cook even on the cool side) and the microwave. The microwave worked. Being a female who commutes alone all the time, I can truly say that this is the first time I was very unnerved to stay in a hotel and barely slept at all. Between the stench, the noise, the crowd and the lack of "food" at the continental breakfast (a 3-foot section of nothing edible), I will never stay here again. The rate charged for this room was too much by any standards.

The staff were helpful and dealt with any problems I had. I would recommend making sure your room is NOT over a ballroom. I was there pre-holiday, but ended up having to change rooms when the weekend parties and seminars began. With two kids that was a hassle, but we could not have stayed in that room any longer. I appreciate the staff providing breakfast the remainder of the stay for our inconvenience. When it comes to daily care for the room, I can't speak tt that, I left the do not disturb sign up for 7 days and sought out assistance when we needed towels, etc. I just prefer people not be in my room while I am staying there, and my request was honored. Overall, it was your basic hotel experience, however the kids did love the indoor pool. Next time I will opt to stay closer to DC, or at the very least pick something nearer to the metro line for easier commuting. I fell in love with all there is to do there...and fyi...do not miss Gettysburg, it is only a little over an hour from the hotel!

The hotel was average shower was very small bed very comfortable slept like a baby. Location was near shopping and restaurants

The room was clean quiet and restful. The breakfast was on the sparse side.

We were only in town for a night (9/22/2011) to see my brother who lives on base at Forte Meade, a short 10 minute drive away. We had previously stayed in another cheap hotel the night before for a job interview I had in Fairfax and were not impressed at all with. The Sleep Inn and Suites was much much better than the first night! I was very impressed with the cleanliness, updated rooms, friendliness of the staff and the spread they had for breakfast! I paid under 100$ to stay here and it was well worth it. Would definitely stay again.

It was okay, and the location was not bad. Lots of restaurant closed by.

This place has bed bugs never stay at another red roof inn they have lost my business

Good inexpensive no-frills hotel. Rooms are small but clean for the most part.

Most of the people staying here are locals and townies. There appears to be a lot of criminal activity here. The first time I left my room someone walking by offered to sell me an illicit substance. The room was filthy. It reeked of urine and other foul odors. The carpet was moist - I hope it was only water. When I woke up the next morning I was covered with flea bites. I should have driven to a rest stop and slept in my car.
