Convenient, and priced right

After reading all the other reviews, I had doubts, but gave it a shot. While the shower was small, the room was comfortable, and the place looked in pretty good shape. No one in the entire town was what I would call friendly, but the staff was nice enough. The hotel was great for the mature traveler, with a great front porch to watch the sun rise, or people watch. If you are looking for luxury, or for some one to treat your like royalty because you are on vacation, spend more and go elsewhere. If you want a nice place, at a great price, you are in luck.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Go one block in from the beach, and get a much better choice in dining. Also don't feed the seagulls, or they will go Hitchcock on you!!!!!

Great Getaway

The room was small as I expected it would be. Bathroom extremely small. For larger sized people, the shower was so small it was hard to turn around in. Had hard time adjusting water temperature also. However, we were just steps away from the beach! When booked rooms, it indicated there were smoking rooms. However, when we got there were told all rooms were non-smoking. We handled it though, needed to slow down on the smoking anyway. Great price for being steps away from the beach.

Did the job for a 3 night stay

The room was TINY with an equally TINY bathroom. To us, it was no big deal. We stayed 3 nights and literally used the room for sleeping and showering. The room was clean enough and NO, I repeat, NO bedbugs! And the tiny room was not so bad, however, the lack of space in the bathroom to do my hair and makeup was a pain in the butt, however, I am a resourceful gal and got around it. We needed maintainence up to our room one evening and they were prompt and quickly resolved our problem. When I left the housekeeper a note, we got fresh towels. Overall, the stay was great!

Fun getaway

This hotel was conviently located on the boardwalk. I never used to be interested in the boardwalk and was skeptical about the hotel. It never got loud and we were within walking distance of the beach and boardwalk shops and restaurants which we would visit frequently. The rooms themselves needed remodeling..The water took a long time to heat up and the shower stall was really small. The TV was kind of old and small..even though we didn't watch much TV it could have been updated. The elevators were incredibly slow! So much faster to take the stairs! The staff was pleasant and house keeping would stop by to see if you wanted your room serviced which was nice. The other bothersome thing about the room was that the mini fridge did not get very cold and 99% of the time the ice machine ( the only one!) was broken! So that became a pain. OVerall, despite the little things it was a nice place with a fantastic pool and we were able to enjoy ourselves and have a great time!

Great place to stay!

Being right on the boardwalk was great for my family. We parked our car when we arrived and walked everywhere. The bus or borardwalk Tram is available for transportation if you are not into walking alot. . The hotel staff was very friendly and the room/hotel was clean and comfortable. No iron in the room, but hairdryer and decent sized fridge. The pool was really clean and fun, they played music and had a bar. The lobby had free coffee, tea, & hot chocolate available any time. It was so nice to grab a cup of cofffee and sit on the porch and watch the sunrise over the ocean in the morning. We ended up staying and extra day and the hotel was able to provide a room for us and our friends. The hotel felt like you were staying at your grandmothers house. It was charming, but was a little outdated. We didn't mind because we were not in our rooms much. Besides, who goes to the beach and stays in the hotel most of the time anyways. Save some money and stay at this hotel!

Great location, hospitality lacking

The hotels location was perfect. The hotel itself is very old. When we stayed the hot water wasn't working and the room was extremely small. It's right on the boardwalk but I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Convenience a plus

The location is certainly a big asset. Everything was so nearby and convenient- hardly had to move the car. Loved the rockers on the front porch.

Time-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

We rented lounge chairs and an umbrella. While that was being set up for us on the beach, we went to our room to change. How convenient to come out the front door and go straight to our spot on the beach.

Good location - bare bones accommodation

Very dated. Shower barely functional. Cramped. Beds ok. AC ok. Room fine as long as you don't spend time there except to sleep. You get what you pay for, as they say...

Could have been better

All and all it wasn't terrible the showers are what need to be changed the most they need more water pressure and it took forever for them to get warm then half way through your shower the water got cold. Also the parking was terrible not enough spaces for the hotel rooms
