Needs a special touch

I'm not one to complain and I know that you get what you pay for. But, the bathroom really could use some work. We were in room 212. The tub looked dirty and the surround was installed in a sloppy manner. There was some kind of gritty bits on the comforter. I couldn't figure out what it was. So, I brushed it off. The rest of the room seemed OK, but in my books, when the bathroom is shabby, it makes me wonder about the rest of the room. The breakfast was simply but good. I probably won't stay there again.

You get what you pay for

This room was adequate; it was not crystal clean or well appointed. The bathroom included a broken toilet paper holder and the light flickered so badly it was like a strobe. There was a broken wall plug in the main room, and cob webs in the corners. But, the bed was comfortable, the heater worked, and the little bit I paid for it was reasonable. Would I recommend this for more than a one night stay over...absolutely not. But if you need to be in Bangor for one night and you're not planning on doing anything more then sleeping 8 hours, this place will fit the bill just fine.

Stay away from Pepito's Mexican Restaurant...horrible food, small portions...although the wait staff was incredibly nice!

Great hotel

My wife and I enjoyed our stay. The only thing that could have made it better would have been a larger coffee pot. Other than that the staff was excellent, they check on us to make sure we were comfortalble and that is an awsome feeling to know that they cared enough to do that.

Great

The hotel was great for what we required. A few maintenance items were needed, but this did not affect our stay. Their complimentary breakfast was quite adequate.

Average overnight stay at best

Heating unit was very noisy - had to be turned off to get any sleep. Rack for hanging cloths - wall mounted - two of four anchor screws were pulled from wall and no attempt seems to have been made to resupport the rack. Train passes by twice a day and blows the whistle three long blasts - about 200 yards away. You do not sleep through that noise. Room was not clean. Suggest spend a few more dollars and stay in other area hotels.

great stay,great value

Got the room we asked for on the ground level, clean and comfortable, large room with fridge and safe. Motel staff very accomodating and friendly. Continental breakfast was a nice extra. Easy access to interstate and Tim Hortons down the street [important for Canadians]. Overall my wife and I were very satisfied and will definitely stay there again.

Not as per expectation

I booked 2 room one in my name and one for my friend as we were travelling together with family, when we reached at hotel around 10 pm the reception guy said you have 2 room but both on my friends name and payment is due for the second room. there was no existance of my name. [...] We were so tired and this waste of time was horrible. Regarding rooms it was not good at all, frist of all there was no microwave in the room and coffee maker is attach with wasbasin outside bathroom like it is in living room. And there was do drinking water provided, we had to go long way to reception to get the water. Breakfast was amazing. no bagels, no cheese. Who ever book this hotel please make sure you do call them and get confirmation of booking and tell them that you need keys ready when you arive there.

decent night for the $

older motel, clean and decent bathroom. door looked older and not as secure as other motels so if security is very important to you this could be a problem. they accept pets which was huge for us. overall a nice quiet place in a good location, for the price. i would stay there again.
