A unique experience

  • Pegster
  • 6 Sep 2011
Room --small, basic motel, tiny bathroom, exceptionally clean, but with a spacious balcony with a killer view. Each morning you bring your continental breakfast there to enjoy -- heaven!! Located right on the water, use of canoes or rowboats included. We two old folks gave it a try and it was truly fun. Very peaceful and quiet, you can hear the birds sing, family friendly -- but it's a mile and a half to town.

Close to everything, great room & view

Brought my 2 granddaughters 6 & 9 for the Fairy Festival at the Botanical Gardens. The room was very roomy, included microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker and coffee. The full size balcony with table and 4 chairs overlooking the pool and beautiful river scenery. In the room also was a small table and couch. Plenty of floor space for the girls to play and spread out. An additional sink outside of the bathroom came in very handy. Quiet, clean, comfortable and adfordable. Located about 1 mile from town and restaurants. A vary of fresh danishes, coffees and teas are set out every morning in the office. Definitely would stay there again and reccommend it! Had a great time!

Great Getaway in Maine

  • Busy Ann
  • 17 Oct 2010
We booked this room at the last minute....the night before....and everything went better then we could have imagined. The room was large, spotlessly clean, with a gas fireplace that was perfect for the chilly Maine coast night. First rate breakfast, just a really nice place.

Outdated but clean

  • Maine Lover
  • 8 Aug 2011
The setting was lovely and the best thing about the hotel. However, we were disappointed as soon as we walked into our room. It was dark because of fake dark wood panelling, dull blue carpeting and dark bedspreads. The bathroom was clean but had old, colonial blue fixtures. Breakfast was ordinary. While it was perfectly acceptable, we wouldn't stay here again.

Great location, nice view.

My boyfriend and I enjoyed this location so much we came back. However finding a place to stay is hit or miss, and prices are high for what you get. This Inn is more like a motel. The room was not what was advertised when I booked it, OLD and drab with musty odor from mold in bathroom. Needless to say, I woke at two AM with reaction and had to sleep in our car. Next morning went to office where a young lady sympathetic to my plight and offered a choice of two other rooms in a different building, which were remodeled; just what was advertised. We think we were put in the wrong room but they didn't offer to adjust our bill just that we wouldn't be charged extra. I slept comfortable for the remainder of our stay.
