Location is right across from the mall, which is convenient for shopping. Still have to drive to campus.

Nice Hotel - Still Average Location
The hotel staff, room and general amenities were very nice for a busy Ann Arbor weekend. But the location still requires you to get in the car and find a parking place in town 3 miles away. If the hotel offered free shuttles to games and downtown Ann Arbor it would be an overall 5. For those that are focused on shopping vs. the University and great town -- it's right across the street from the Briarwood Mall. Your Choice - I'd stay in the city if a room was available since it's such a great town!

Great place to stay in Ann Arbor
The room was clean and the hotel staff extremely friendly. They offered evening snacks with beverages, which was a treat. The laundry facility was a big help and very inexpensive. There were many stores nearby and the expressway was easily accessed. We travelled into the heart of Ann Arbor within 15 minutes.

Short drive from hotel
We found State Street to be the easiest and fastest street to get into downtown Ann Arbor. It seemed less congested than Main Street or other routes.

Back to school
We took our son back to U of M and stayed at Hol Inn for the first time in Ann Arbor. We had a great experience. the room was perfect and spotless, comfortable bed. Will definitely stay there again.

Very nice
Great location to visit our son who was staying in a coop near the University of Michigan. Very nice hotel. Extremely comfortable. Would stay there again.

An Enjoyable Bargain!
Four star convenient spot for a two star price! Late arrival greeted by a friendly desk clerk who set the tone for my stay. Room was large, it and the bathroom were spotless. Bed was nearly as comfortable as home complete with a good mattress, ample pillows and silky cotton sheets. All for a more than fair price. Breakfast was the most complete of any HI or budget hotel I've stayed in previously and all employees were friendly throughout my three night stay. Since I train employees and managers in customer service I'm hyper critical---honestly, there was nothing to improve upon.

Downtown Cafe Felix. Killer grilled salmon salad topped with Michigan cherries and blue cheese. My adult kids had crepes and they raved about them. Waitress was friendly and their sidewalk dining provided terrific people watching. Inside is a great old bar with a martini menu demanding a return visit. Cool black and white small tiled floor as well.
