The hotel is connected to a stop for the people mover. It allows you to not only get great views of the city but saves you time & money to help get around the city quickly

One Night Stay. Average
Room was nice. Clean and spacious. Bed was very comfortable too. The issue I had is with the staff. They weren't able to recommend a restaurant near the theatre I was going to see a concert. They were also no help getting me a cab either. Overall an average experience. I would look for somewhere else to stay next time.

Not what we expected
For $200 it wasn't worth it. The A/C did not work...so we had a hard time sleeping. The service was sub-par. We also had to park at a parking garage, and pay for it separate. Not a great time.

Average Hotel but with good location
The hotel is very well located especially for those doing something at the Renaissance Centre. I did not care for the food. It was very average. The breakfast buffet is good but pricey. The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. I had doubts about the cleanliness of the bathroom and it had a very slow shower drain. Otherwise, the room looked well.

Downtown hotel in need of a revamp
Downtown Detroit is probably not recommended when you need to be in this city. While the Courtyard Marriott can't do much to this situation, the city has very little to offer in terms of cafes, restaurants and places of interested within walking distance of the hotel. Even the hotel facilities weren't very exciting (or weren't even operational)

Convention location for the week
The hotel staff was extremely polite and very helpful. Rooms were immaculate. The refrig in the room was great for an easy breakfast and to store dinner leftovers. Coffee in the room was good too.

Short walk from hotel
Check out Caoch Insignia in the Marriot across the street on the 72nd floor. Very reasonable Happy Hour and an amazing view.

Can't beat this staff!
Every person there was friendly & helpful. They all remember who I was, even in the restraunt! The staff is 5 stars all the way around! The restaurant on the other hand, wasn't quite on par. The menu was fairly limited and the food was ok, not great, but ok.
