First Class!
This hotel is wonderful. I would rate it a definite A+ and well worth the money. Great restaurants and a fun casino with nice slot machines. Nice location for night time walking as it is located by a street that has numerous restaurants and shops. It is also walking distance to Tigers and Lions stadiums. We had a ball!

Great Hotel
The guest room at the Greektown Hotel at Casino was great! Very modern and contemporary. A little small. The restaurant for breakfast was horrible! Very overpriced. Nowhere else to eat! The food was aweful! The buffet was overpriced for dinner did not have a very big selection for a buffet at a Casino. The only drawback is that if you do not use valet you need to go from the parking garage with all of your luggage to one elevator and then another elevator to your room. There is also no pool. The fitness room was nice. I would recommend for a short trip.

Eat at one of the many restaurants on the street in Greektown. Great selection and prices. Most of the restaurants accept your Greektown points/rewards. Also there is a Hard Rock Restaurant! Great bakery is also the street!

My favorite Detroit property
I go to Detroit for business 2x month. I've tried other hotels (holiday Inn express--too noisy) the Athenian (older but great location and nice big room suites) but my go-to favorite is Greektown Casino Hotel. Gorgeous rooms with spectacular views ( request city view or you'll be overlooking highways). In room coffee, blowdryer, plenty if towels (no shower cap but thats just my need) nice midern decir and luxury linens. Ask for room furthest from elevator for maximum quiet at night. Last stay a loudmouth drunk in the hall woke us up at 2 am but I can't fault the property. If it persisted I could have called security but he settled down after a while.

1.5 miles from hotel is the legendary old world Italian restaurant called Mario's. Since 1945 it's been serving 5 course meals to die for. It's reputed to be mafiosos' favorite. Prepare for a spread out meal over time just like in Europe, chat between courses with your waiter if they are slow (hector is great server) our entres

VERY NICE AND GREAT PRICE I LOVED IT ! THE ROOM WAS NICE AND NEAT. STAFF WAS OKAY..VALET WAS NOT GOOD DIDNT OPEN DOORS FOR ME OR MY HONEY! VIEW WAS NOT GOOD EITHER . OVERALL NICE FOR A COZY DATE WITH THE HONEY!

not great for the price
no refrigerator only a mini bar, we took beverages and had to fill the one sink with ice to keep cool, brought food back from restaurant and couldn't keep cold. tv keep flashing and had to turn off. was going out of room to get ice and a security guard was walking down hall talking to a girl and almost ran right into me, he didnt move over or say excuse me or nothing.
