BEST WESTERN Hospitality Inn

The back entry door we used to get into the building to get to our room was wide open and unlocked. There were several people nearby outside that appeared to be cleaning staff. Informed the desk clerk and that door was never locked, even at night, during our stay. The carpeting by the sink was wet upon our arrival. The entry to the toliet area was leaking water all the time we were there making the tile very slippery. The bed linens were clean but small things like the TV, toliet paper holder weren't cleaned. Walked past the laundry room and the floor in front of the washer and dryer was covered with towels. They need to replace their light fixture because they are tarnished. We all agreed we won't be going back to this facility again.

Clean rooms, good prices ($52) , free parking, hot breakfast, pool, hottub and a broken sauna. Only complaint is that it is RIGHT next to the highway. Request a room that is on the opposite side of I-94. Reasonably close to Bells Brewery.

The room was clean and well kept. The service staff was friendly and helpful. We have stayed twice, and I would not hesitate to stay again. In both rooms, however, the temperature was difficult to control. The heater (necessary both times) was either off or on - no thermostat function, really. The room was too warm with the heat on and too cold with it off.

This is a bit of a dated building that has been upgraded nicely. The room was comfortable and clean with an obviously new mattress. The staff is friendly and helpful. The hallways are a little musty but it is not noticeable in the room itself. Hotel was quiet enough for good sleeping. The breakfast was a bit lame, but sufficient. This was a great deal for the price and I would stay there again.

Good Value. King size bed was firm with fresh soft sheets. Some interior doors showed age, but did not distract from our comfort.

Very efficient check-in. Spacious room, clean, minimally equipped. Very quiet. Good breakfast from 6 till 9 although the cook-server was asked at 8:30 for more scrambled eggs. She curtly said "we close at 9 and scrambled eggs take 45 minutes".

The phone and coffee maker did not work in our room. The coffee maker was replaced eventually, but was never able to get a wake up call due to the phone not working.The rate was overpriced due to a soccer/baseball tournament in the area. The wallpaper was falling off the wall and the breakfast area was way to small for the amount of capacity of the Hotel. Staff was perfunctory. I would not stay there again especially for the rate I had to pay, felt gouged.

Visit Family and friends, had a good time would go back.

I was traveling to Kzoo for a conference and opted not to stay at any of the "official" conference hotels to save a little cash. However, I was also a woman traveling alone and didn't want to tempt the travel gods. My husband insisted that I choose a hotel/motel with indoor halls and key-access for safety. The Best Western Hospitality Inn is located right off the interstate, and there are a couple of restaurants nearby (Godfather's, Denny's). It's a decent little commute into town, but more or less direct. I had no trouble getting to downtown or to Western Michigan University. This hotel is not as nice as the BW Plus Kalamazoo Suites, but it is half as expensive. My first room had a distinct "person" smell, but they accommodated a switch. I had a comfortable king-sized bed with plenty of pillows. The bathroom was large (with a good-sized tub), and the workspace in the room was adequate and well-lit. There was reliable Wi-Fi. Breakfast was included. Standard yogurt, bagels, eggs, sausage, biscuits, toast, waffle-maker, cereal, etc. Juice machine was out of orange both mornings and was on the fritz. Coffee was fine; tea selection was fine. I did not use the other amenities, though they have an indoor pool and fitness room. Staff was pleasant and helpful, though not overly outgoing. Check-in and -out were easy, without wait. Parking lot was not particularly well-lit, BUT I was able to park next to the main entrance both evenings. The parking lot was never crowded, and the public spaces weren't crowded either. I would definitely stay here again, given the rates.
