Friendly Staff
I made the reservation for my mother and she didn't have any problems checking-in. At other hotels, the desk clerk has made an issue when I make and pay for the reservation making it extremely difficult for her.

Good place to stay
The Courtyard by Marriott in Traverse City was a last minute reservation because there were Red Wings and a soccer tournament as well as a convention session in town. Everything was sold out. It turned out to be a pleasant experience although located far from the convention site. Great hot tub, fair swimming pool and pleasant surroundings all contributed to an above- average stay, although I did feel the pricing was a little high simply because they were "the only game in town" with rooms for rent.

The mall located across the highway has some exceptional stores and is large enough to be located in a suburb of Detroit. Pleasant surprise for this location.

The facility and location met our needs.
We were visiting our Grandson who is a student at Interlochen National Music School One exception in our stay is finding that the breakfast was not included in our fee. This is the first time in years that this is occurred. It was probably in the fine print, but not obvious. We will not stay there again

We're lucky to have found this room
Check in and check out were seamless - no complaints. Since this was our first time at a Courtyard, we thought they provided free breakfast. No such luck. That was not a deal breaker. The free coffee was good. The room was clean and well-decorated.

Fun weekend
We went for a weekend away and had a great time. The hotel is located right near the mall and other shopping/dining places. It is just a short drive to the downtown area which was nice. The hotel was under construction but our room was great. Our only drawback was that the bed was extremely firm and did not care for it.

Check the Traverse City happenings to see if there is anything going on downtown. We didn't know they were having a winter fest which was a cool surprise but also made parking a little trickier. Luckily we happened to find FREE parking at one of the local parking shelters :-)

Did not live up to the hype!
We would have been impressed by a more mature front desk. The girl was nice but not very informative or talkative. This hotel could use a personality. Blah Blah Blah

Newer, clean, sharp
Stayed overnight to catch early morning flight. Great location for getting to airport easily. Courtyard lived up to standards we've experienced at other Courtyards. To us, they're all great.

Courtyard holds the high standard
Room well set up for business. Rolling desk/table that makes it easy to do some work or simply use the laptop.

An excellent property.
Room decor was tasteful (and I later learned, new). Staff very friendly and engaging, with much pride in the property. Small thing: window shades extremely effective at keeping out sunlight for this "night owl" who likes to sleep in while on vacation.
