Not bad

The first room smelled like mold and had a terrible view. They switched the room with no problem and the second room was much nicer. It smelled normal and had a nice view of the water. If we go back to TC we will try a different place. Room service was good and reasonably priced. A free breakfast with the stay would have been nice. Overall not bad for the money, and they are dog friendly which was the main reason we chose them.

The Good & the Bad

Room was nice, bad thing was lack of parking. The motel parties & bars take up too much parking. You go out for dinner in town, come back and theres no parking spaces left. Saw many people parking accross the street at an out of business restraunt. They need to handle their parking problem for their guest.

Hotel needs updating

I like this hotel overall but it sure needs some updating and it is not kept clean. the elevators and hallways always seemed to need vacuuming. and the bathrooms are old. It is nice to have a restaurant, cocktail bar and gift shop in the hotel - but the hotel needs a facelift. beds were comfy.

Great Weekend

We took a spur of the moment trip to Traverse City to take advantage of the great fall weather and the fantastic fall colors. We toured the whole Lewanau Penninsula and the hotel was a great base of operations.

The best location in Traverse City

This hotel has THE best location for walking to downtown and other area beaches. The hotel and grounds were clean, but need updating because they just look a little tired. We were there mid-week so the nightclub and sports bar were virtually empty, but we enjoyed the outdoor bar with deck seating that overlooks the water.

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

Leave your car in the parking lot! There is a lot of traffic here, and you can easily walk to downtown and several nearby beaches.

disco fever

This property adjoins the beach and was full of family groups during the high summer season weekend we were there. Great location near downtown and room was fine, with a view of a nice tree and glimpse of the shore. However, our room had connecting rooms on both sides and there were loudly drunken groups on both sides. One side seemed to be teenage boys, whose late night bad language and toilet habits were easily audible. The hotel hosted a teen oriented disco on both weekend night, loud and thumping, and audible on the third floor. Friendly staff and happy customers, but know its not quiet.
