Good for a one night romantic getaway for fairly cheap.

The room was clean as was expected. We did have to check in 30 min. late because the room wasn't ready at 2:00 pm! You would think that the room would be ready by at least that time. Overall, you get what you pay for. This hotel was much cheaper than the fancier hotels down the street, but the location was good as most of the places that we went were within walking distance. The walls were pretty thin because we could hear the next door faucet and shower, however we never heard any people. Other than that, the beds seemed clean with NO BED BUGS! I looked at reviews of many other hotels in the area and this hotel was the only one that didn't have a review that warned about bed bugs. The t.v. was a small, old tube t.v., but it was fine because we weren't really in the room that much. For the price, this hotel was good enough for a little inexpensive romantic getaway.

Fall night in Duluth

We wanted to spend the night in Duluth but in the Canal Area, but all the rooms were full because of the FALL leaves. The hotel is old and needs to be updated. Wedding was there and it was very noisey. Would not stay there again, plan early for a fall get away and stay on Lake Superior

Just an overnight stay this time but everything was just right, Christmas decorations up, friendly staff, water bottle available. Room was just perfect. Great breakfast the next morning. Perfect location for shopping and restaurants.

You can't beat the location, right in Canal Park. Walkable to a lot of good restaurants and an easy 15 minute drive to the airport. Staff was very helpful and provided dining recommendations and directions to the airport. The room was very nice and the bed was super comfy! Good breakfast and if you don't have time for it, they have ready a to go breakfast in bag with bottled water. Really nice touch.

Probably would not stay there again. Was too expensive for size of room. Cob webs in corner in bedroom, was disappointed. Didn't feel that the room was "that" clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Staff had to be reminded to deliver roll-a-way.

The hotel was very nice and very modern. The room was very nicely decorated and very comfortable.
The hot breakfast was good however they ran out of silverware and food and had a hard time keeping up with the all the people. I would stay there again.

Great Hotel in an Excellent Location

Stayed to see the light display at Bayfront...shuttle service provided even though it wasn't a far walk. Beautiful lakefront view, rooftop pool was a plus, only downside was the hockey teams staying there at the same time that pretty much ran the place :/ otherwise, very clean, modern and walking distance to a variety of restaurants, shopping. Would definitely stay again!

Shraton Duluth Hotel

We booked the Sheraton this time again because of our last stay here we thought we would spoil ourselves a little and have a great ending to a spring vacation. This was not the case this time,were booked into a handicap room for reasons unknown, both days the hallways were noisy and people were going from room to room drinking at all hours till at least 4am when things finally quietend down. It appears we were booked into an area where people were there for a wedding or a party of some sort. High class hotel in a low class environment. Very disappointing.

OK - some good, some bad

I liked the hotel by the end of my stay, but hated it at first. The parking is in the public lot behind the hotel (they validate), but there was no sign indicating this, so first I kept driving around the block, then finally had to park at a meter a ways away and walk into the hotel to ask. It was a bit hard getting through all the doors from the lot to my hotel room with only one or two handicap buttons for automatic door opening. As I came into the guest room with my luggage, the door closed on me and the handle (long, not round) left a bruise and cut on my hip.
I had asked for a room with a view of Lake Superior. They said that would cost $20 more, and I said I would be glad to pay it. My room was on the third floor, and I could see only a thin stripe of the lake above the building across the street. But it turned out that they did not charge me the $20, so that is OK. The bed wasn't very comfortable. But once I got over my initial poor impression, I did like the hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. The facilities were fine. The room was comfortable and aesthetically nice. Good desk, flat TV that could be turned to desk or bed. Very nice location. So - all in all - it was fine. I might test another hotel next time, but I wouldn't actively avoid this one.

Fun Overnight Get-A-Way

We had a lovely stay at The Edge. We were looking for a night in Duluth to enjoy. The staff was great, the room was large (could use some updating - bathroom, sheets/blankets, stiff bed, carpet) and activities were great! The waterpark and outdoor pool were FUN! And although we didn't get to do all the activities, just knowing that an outside movie, air-brush tatoos, the jumpers/bouncer, roasting marshmallows, an arcade and miniture golf was an option was great for the price. The breakfast time (waiting for a table) was a little long but if we had gone earlier (it was at 8:30am)or later, might not have been so bad. Ultimately we had a great time and it was well worth the money (we booked just hours before we showed up). Dispite the few complaints, my family will definitely stay at THE EDGE again.

This was a beautiful resort. There was plenty to do and excellent amenities. We were only sorry we couldn't stay longer. It had a wonderful view of Lake Superior with private deck. We couldn't take our eyes off the view. Only negatives were a few light bulbs that were out and the continental breakfast was bare minimum. Next time we'll just bring our own breakfast to enjoy on the deck, as there is a microwave and fridge.

We came up for one night to see the scenery. We were able to check in early which was great. We enjoyed the room, the hot tub, and the breakfast in the morning. Everything was fantastic. No complaints other than a little spendy for not being right downtown.

The pool and hot tub were excellent. Although the sign said no children allowed after 10pm and there were children in there. That was a little disappointing. I felt this stay was perfect for us for one night, but I would not have stayed here any longer than that.

Just a quick trip to Duluth for some great shopping and fantastic dining! The location of the Econo Lodge Airport was perfect for us to access great shopping in short order. Our stay wasn't long, but most enjoyable and the breakfast at the hotel was a nice bonus.

Our room was big. The bed was large, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was great, lots of choices and great for kids. The pool was small but nice and warm. The staff we on site and friendly. We will go back.

I had a very early flight and wanted to be as close to the airport as possible and the Country Inn couldn't have been more convenient. Unfortunately my stay was just overnight but very pleasant nonetheless.

Worth the money

Would of been tons better if there wasn't so much construction on I35, it was really hard getting to places from the motel because of closed exits.

We had visited Duluth to get a feel for what was there when we come up for a friend's wedding later this year. My freinds and I really liked this quaint motel. It is right off the highway, and easy to get to. One thing we would have liked would have been a little note in our room telling when and where the continental breakfast was, or for the kind gentleman to tell us upon check-in. But for a Friday night it was very quiet and peaceful, and the beds were very comfortable. There was a fridge, microwave, and a small TV. There is no smoking in any of the rooms. The one downside is that it is a couple of miles from Downtown Duluth. Overall, this motel was by far one of the cheapest, but for the clenliness of the rooms, quietness, accessibility, and hospitality, I would highly reccommend this place! The people here were by far nicer than the 4-star hotel staff I had usually encountered.

Enjoyed the room and stay. Needed comfortable chair to sit and read/watch TV. Nice hot tub. Good continental breakfast.

NOT handicap accessible

This hotel is not handicap accessible and this was not information that was provided when I booked and prepaid the reservation. I was given the option on Orbitz to request a handicap room and when checking with the hotel (after booking and paying for the room) they informed me they are not handicap accessible. We were on the bottom floor, check in was on the main floor and continenal breakfast was up probably 20 stairs up from our room. I think if someone requests a handicap room and doesn't get one because it's not advertised as a non handicap hotel - there would be grounds for litigation if an injury occured. I hope that you correct this misinformation soon before someone does get hurt. I am not happy..
