Old Chicago is pretty good and they're open when a lot of places are closed. They have good games and a bar. Nice employees.

Beautiful Weekend
We came up for one night to see the scenery. We were able to check in early which was great. We enjoyed the room, the hot tub, and the breakfast in the morning. Everything was fantastic. No complaints other than a little spendy for not being right downtown.

Very pleased
We thoroughly enjoyed this hotel. Great location in proximity to all the attractions in Duluth. The amenities were great and food very good. We will stay here again on our next visit.

Staff was very courteous and helpful. GREAT breakfast. Best we've had in any setting so far that has breakfast included.

I'd recommend this to my friends
It was a little bit of a drive to Duluth attractions, but it was in a nice area of the city. Well-lit parking lot. The front desk staff was so outgoing and friendly. We didn't use the pool, but we did use the whirlpool. It's temperature was perfect, though the jets were "quirky." It sometimes took awhile to get them going again. The rooms were very clean and updated. Our only complaint was that the pillows were very small and too squishy. This was our second stay at this location, and we'd definitely stay again.

The Canal Park area has a lot of great gift shops as well as a couple of nice antique shops. There are also two great antique shops that we discovered just a short drive away in Superior, Wisconsin.

We checked in, which took awhile as the clerk was not quick at handling the person in front of us. We were somewhat surprised at the price of the room after we checked in because we expected more than a room with a hottub in it. I think for the price and then you looked at the neighborhood, there was an expectation maybe that we would get more of a suite instead of just a room with a lot of stuff in it. At approximately 10 pm the upstairs guest returned with their children. The children ran, jumped up and down on the floor above us and slammed doors. It was quite disturbing until about 12 midnite. This was our romantic get-away that was everything but that. In the morning the children upstairs arose again and did pretty much the same as the night before. Jumping up and down making lots of noise on the floor above us. When we checked out we mentioned something to the clerk who only replied well that's where most of our double beds are, so that's why we put children upstairs. I don't think we will return to this hotel.

Pleasant Stay
Hotel very nice and clean. Bed was very comfortable. Pool area was nice. Whirlpool was very warm. Staff were friendly and helpful. Not much within walking distance except for a Perkins right across the street.

Perkins right across the street. We ate there twice and were pleased with it. Not much else within walking distance.

Easy access to the Interstate.
This was our first time to Duluth and our first time at this hotel. Very easy access to the interstate, which made it so easy for us to get to appointments. There was no dining in the facility, but a Perkins across the street. The entire unit was very clean and our room was quite comfortable. The parking lot was well lit all the way around. We would definitely stay here again.

The canal area is just a short drive from the hotel. Lots of dining - all different types - plus tons of shopping and some local attractions. The canal area is really worth the trip!

Nice room
The room was very nice. The location of the hotel was in a somewhat industrial area with not a lot of things to walk to in ways of dining or entertainment. Staff was very friendly. Pool area was very nice. Modest breakfast.
