Hungry after Breakfast
Might Do Again for the Location
Fantastic and fun location with lots of shopping, sights, and restaurants. Hotel was overpriced however considering the amenities and the breakfast. The breakfast was less than average and they ran out of most of the better items 1 hour before the close of the breakfast. We would have expected much better considering the price of the room. We were also put in a handicapped room which didn't need and didn't like.

Watching the ships come through the ship canal, walking the lakewalk, and seeing the adjacent free museum were all great!

The location of this hotel is fabulous.
We truly enjoyed seeing a ship coming to Duluth and then being able to get to the pier to see and get pictures of the ship and the lift bridge. We enjoyed the pool as the boys spent many hours enjoying that part of the hotel. Breakfast was average and quite crowded when the weather outside was cool and they didn't open an extra room. Eating places in walking distance was great.

Gooseberry Falls State Park is a place you can visit with no park fee and enjoy some very nice walks along the river to the lake.

Tall Ship Adventurer
Comfort Suites Canal Park
I stayed just for one night in order to go on a tall ship. The location was perfect, room was nice, big, and clean. Love hotels with continental breakfasts and this had an excellent selection. Friendly staff and they were very accommodating about a late check out.

It's right in the heart of Canal Park and you can walk in a couple of minutes to loads of restaurants.

A Great Place to Stay in Canal Park
Comfort Suites Hotel is right in the heart of Canal Park. It is close to the lift bridge, restaurants and shopping. Our room was comfortable and quiet and the children loved the indoor pool

If you go to Duluth, stay at a hotel in Canal Park so you can walk to lift bridge,restaurants, shops, museum, harbor cruise boats, aquarium, ore boat tour, and lake Superior walking paths

Best breakfast on the house
Large choice of items for breakfast. We were close to the DECC for graduation ceremonies.

great location, good price.
we got a good deal on a double king partial sweet - extra sitting area with fold out couch. the hotel was nice, right in the middle of Canal Park, so very close to lots of fun Duluth stuff. the room was nice, good water pressure in the shower, comfy beds, and good service. the walls were a bit thin - we heard lots of stomping upstairs and people running but I guess that's the be expected. the pool was also a slight disappointment. we were just expecting something a little bigger from the pictures. our daughter enjoyed it though so that's all that really matters. great breakfast buffet too, with a nice view of the lake. highly recommended!

Scenic great location for our family vac
We swam a lot, loved the breakfast, and view of the huge waves splashing onto the path in front of us from lake superior. The staff was friendly and the lady who was in charge of breakfast was wonderful and helpful. It really helped me, because I had four children at my table and my mom had three.
