Great location, average accommodations
I love the downtown location of this hotel and the fact that it is connected to the Skywalk. The room was comfortable but we overlooked the pool and it was very noisy. We had children playing hockey on our balcony the first two days. Others in our large group experienced noisy neighbors as well and the problems were never rectified.

Everything goes better with bacon...well not your room
The room was expensive due to a last minute booking, and it being fall color season. When we arrived our room faced the pool, and it was quite noisy, but it closed at a decent hour(11pm) and was quiet after that. Also we had a light that burnt out in the bathroom that was fixed within 10 minutes of us calling the front desk. My only beef with the room...was the cured pork on the floor. Behind the table was part of someone's breakfast sandwich which I stepped on while closing the blinds.

Fall night in Duluth
We wanted to spend the night in Duluth but in the Canal Area, but all the rooms were full because of the FALL leaves. The hotel is old and needs to be updated. Wedding was there and it was very noisey. Would not stay there again, plan early for a fall get away and stay on Lake Superior

Vacationer
Not worth the money.
I took my children to Duluth for 2 nights, and could not get a room in Canal Park, so decided to try Holiday Inn downtown. The room was very small, as well as the bathroom. The toilet was dirty, and the sink was broken. the refirgerator was leaking and did not keep our food cold. I would pay the extra money to stay somewhere nicer!

Disgruntaled Vacationer
This is a Holiday Inn???
I was not at all pleased with the room. It was over priced, the room was dirty, the room was small, and the hotel did not have all their rooms posted on-line. I would be embarrassed to call this a Holiday Inn. An upper-scale hotel should not be comparable to one you can find for a fourth of the price. I was disappointed and will not be staying with them again. But on a lighter note, they do have a good location in down town Duluth if you are willing to pay for nothing.

[...] I requesteda non-smoking room but they gave us a smoking room. Theroom smelled so bad that I woke up at 4:00 am andcould not sleep because I got a headache.
