smokey but quiet
Noise is usually my biggest problem at hotels, but it wasn't a problem at all here. The only downside I saw from this hotel was the smell of stale ashtray throughout the whole building. Wasn't bad like fresh smoke but you could definitely smell it. I would stay here again however, nice, clean, comfortable and cheap!

Great deal
Clean, very affordable and great central location to shopping and lake front. Deluxe continental breakfast not so deluxe, but not bad. Toilet in room 122 not a great flusher. Otherwise really good experience.

Was ready to give the room back after I walked in
The Super 8 is a two floor motel the first is smoking, well my room was on the first floor and I don't smoke so it was bad it stunk big time. I had to leave the window open and live with the cool breeze. The staff at the motel said I could not change rooms because it was booked on line. There was dust and junk under a table the room was not clean. Then a car alarm went off the whole nigh tSaturday into Sunday ON checking out I stated this and counter person said I called the person but he didn't do anything.

Thanksgiving break
The stay was average, the problem was that the hallways smelled like cigarette smoke and my wife is allergic to it. All in all it was O.K. and we would stay there again.

Okay but smokey
The hotel staff was friendly. The place is an older place and isn't as nice as the pictures depict. The entire place was smokey. We had a non smoking room but we could still smell the smoke from our neighbors. The set up is strange with non smoking and smoking rooms mixed together. No way to avoid the smoke. The Entire place smelled.

Short trip to Duluth
The Super 8 was a great place to stay. The best part was the handwritten map that helped me navigate all the construction and detours. It was a snap to get back on I-35 South to go back home. I had called this motel first directly and it was full. I called Orbitz and they had a room! Thanks again!

worn at the edges but very clean
Receptionist was pleasant and helpful. Very close to the highway going downtown to Canal Park. A bit over-priced for what you got.
