AmericInn Mankato Hotel & Conf

I stayed at this Inn when I visited Minnesota State University-Mankato for a research presentation. It was nice, comfy and clean. It had fridge, microwave, TV and ironing board. The hotel brochure said that they used a special brick system for its walls to prevent noise. I think it was very helpful because I did not hear any noise from other rooms. It was a quiet stay. The breakfast was included.

We booked a single queen bed through [...]and ended up with a sinlge queen bed, but the bathroom was for the handicapped and was institutionalized like you would find in a hospital. (No tub, just a shower. And the tile floor was extremely cold.)

I ended up checking in late on the first night of my stay, the staff working were still readily available and the process was smooth and efficient. The room itself was bigger than I had expected and was very clean. There were a few small things that went mostly unnoticed; trim around the door coming loose, bathroom fan not working, no spare roll of toilet paper, plastic around a light fixture out of place. Nothing that detracted much from my stay. The hotel enforces a strict no/low-noise policy after 11 PM, and that first night could not have gone better. One small note for travelers in the whirlpool/jacuzzi suites: they are INCREDIBLY loud in both your own room and the adjoining room. Keep this in mind if it's late! The second night was an absolute joke. The special "noise-dampening" walls between rooms must not have been used between the suites with whirlpools, as I could hear my rather loud neighbors until 1 AM, even after calling down to the front desk about it. Doors were frequently being slammed shut, and it was a waste to even try to sleep with them running the whirlpool every 15 minutes. This is no fault to the hotel staff at all, they did what they could. I ended up packing my things and leaving as there was no way I would be getting any sleep that night. It could have been much better.

Very clean and comfortable room. Breakfast area was clean and had a nice variety. Quiet environment and courteous staff.

I've stayed before But i think it actually got better! The staff was friendly, (One asked how everything was, and when i asked for more towels actually seemed eager to help and another one came all the way down the stairs when she realized I forgot my key and was stuck outside!) We enjoyed ourselves so much that the second day of out stay we didnt even leave the hotel! The hot tub, pool, breakfast in the AM and room were great. Wasnt thrilled with the coffee maker in the room, but since there was coffee in the lobby and the breakfast room, was easy to overlook that one thing. Would stay again, Oh wait already am planning another trip!

We went to the Annual Vikings Training Camp, my Husband is a die hard fan! The weather was unfortunately very HOT and HUMID, but the hotel room was a perfect getaway!

We stayed at the hotel while attending college orientation. Great location to Mankato State. Very nice staff, great lobby, clean room, nice breakfast. No WiFi but there was free internet access on one computer in the lobby. The room has a small fridge for drinks or snacks which I would use if we would have stayed longer. Will stay here again.

Very nice hotel. Only surprise was the $25 extra charge for a pet.
