Celebrating friends 50th birthday
The hotel room was great, especially the living area with couches. Lots of room. The location was very close to everything too. The parking was not really explained to us by the staff. We were supposed to have our hotel key to get a discount on parking but we had left it in the room when we checked out. Breakfast was super expensive as they added on a 20% gratuity and the continental breakfast was $15 each. The waitress offered us juice but didn't tell us it cost extra and that was $5 extra per person.

Read the fine print
When i booked this room I asked specifically for a room with 2 double beds. When we checked in we were given a room with 1 king sized bed and told that it says in the fine print that you are not guarrenteed the room you book. Why??? With no compensation, how can this be right.

Week Long Work Trip
First time visiting Minneapolis for a Conference being held at the Conference Center. The hotel was in perfect walking distance to the Center, complete with several coffee shops on the way. There was a ton of great restaurants and bars around it for after hours! Definitely be back next time I'm in Minneapolis.

the only complaint would be the breakfast which was included with our stay . the staff in the breakfast area was confused and very useless. We decided to go outside the hotel because of the bad service.

Minnesota State Fair Getaway
We came to Minneapolis with friends to attend the Minnesota State Fair. The rate for this Doubletree location was good for a 2 room suite, with breakfast included. Location was convenient--an easy walk to restaurants, and a quick drive for other outings. The beds were cozy, but the mattresses and pillows seemed a bit too soft. I ended up with a backache after 2 nights there. Also, the bathroom door would not close completely without having to force it, then it would stick shut and require great effort to get it open.

Great Place to Stay
Our room was modern and comfortable. We had plenty of space for multiple people to sleep and a nice room to have guests visit. Loved that the hotel attached to Starbucks.

I've stayed at better hotels
We went to the twins games so the location was great, room was good, breakfast staff terrible, not enough help at the front desk the next morning for the volume of people. I've stayed better places for the same money but all in all it was okay.

BUSINESS NOT As USUAL
My trip was strictly busines, but i tried to relax a bit. The hotel was great (PERFECT). For the price of air fares and hotel, i got the best deal (an Executive suite). The airline (US airways) which i'm a dividend member of, was on time (round trip). The Hotel staff; profesionals, at the same time ready to go out of their way to make customers comfortable..... I've traveled around the world, but this deal was the best, because it was worth the price and stress free.

Short walk from hotel
Night time/ Day time. There are Irish. (European) flavored outside dinnings in the city. Most of them are walks away from Double Tree in Lasella Ave.
