Great hotel, convenient location
My choice was driven by location. But my priority #1 is cleanness and my room was very clean. I am tall; so high ceilings and a super-spacious bathroom were a great treat for me. (I wish every hotel was like this.) Staff members were very friendly. Unfortunately I spent very limited time at the hotel (it was a business trip); so I hadn't have time to check their restaurant, gym or other amenities.

Great hotel experience!
Le Meridien Chambers was an excellent choice for my Minneapolis stay. Located in downtown MPLS, it was within walking distance to a lot of fun spots, and very easy to get to via the light rail from the airport. I was lucky to be upgraded to the executive suite, so I am not sure what the regular rooms are like, but ours was elegant and fantastic. Huge bathroom with heated floors and multiple lighting options, a second 1/2 bath, very comfortable bed, and interesting artwork on the walls. Felt like you were staying in someone's very clean home, vs. a generic hotel. Highly recommended!

Le Meridien Chambers
The hotel was very nice. I wish that I would have known about the $100 hold that was put upon my credit card before I reserved the room. It made the experience less than satisfactory.

Edgy alternative
Fabulous staff. D'Amico Kitchen has great food & drink. Rooms are a bit austere but intentionally designed to be edgy. In the heart of the Theater District.

FANTASTIC!
The June 26 review in the NY Times of a show at the Walker Art Center curated by John Waters (of "Hairspray" and "Pink Flamingos" fame) piqued our interest. Too cheap to pop for the $400+ nightly rate (no matter how great the hotel looked and sounded), [...]scored big with a rate of $200/night including tax. Everything was wonderful -- a treat for all the senses -- from the room to the public areas to the restaurants, art, and staff. The Walker Center (unlimited free admission for Meridien guests) and neighboring Sculpture Garden are within a 15-minute walk and we spent two days exploring both.I'd rank the Meridien Chambers right up with renting a houseboat on the Amstel River in Amsterdam. A unique and memorable experience.

Great location, nice rooms
Chambers has a great location, close to Target Field, many restaurants and bars, the Walker Art museum. The hotel is very clean and the room was large with many unique design features. I'd definitely recommend staying here.

Manhattan-style hotel in the Midwest!
Totally amazing. A $600 a night experience for a fraction of the price. Did not expect such a cosmopolitan hotel in Minneapolis (there's a Damien Hirst in the lobby). Amazingly attentive staff. The hotel restaurant is as sophisticated as anything you would find in Manhattan. If I ever return in Minneapolis, I will never stay anywhere else.
