Holiday Inn Express BRANSON-GREEN MOUNTAIN DRIVE

Checked in. Got to room. In a few minutes we noticed we were hearing a sound every few seconds which at first sounded like running water. We left for dinner, returned to same continual sound. About 10 pm, I realized it wasn't water but the elevators running up and down. Went down to change rooms. Told they had a handicap room only we could have. Every time I tried to talk the front desk clerk (Larry) cut me off and kept saying it would stop in about an hour. It's after 10 at this point. Of course it would have started back up about 6am but that point was lost on Larry! Handicap room was smaller. Bathroom was scary. Breakfast was below average. Second morning we went to Panera instead. Will not be back!

Overall the stay was typical of hotel stays we've had before. The room was clean and the breakfast was good. The only thing we encountered was with the front desk staff. She wouldn't give us our frequent stay points because we booked through an on line service. She insisted we had to directly book with them in order to get the points. However, we have stayed at other holiday inn expresses, which we booked through this online service and never had this issue before. The front desk clerk replied, "That's funny, you are the 2nd person to say that tonight." We called the rewards program and had no problem with them giving us our points.

We saw a few shows, did a little shopping. We liked the fact that the hotel was close to everything but a nice distance from the "main drag"

Good location, Good coffee, breakfast bar closed too early,manager was over protective of breakfast bar area and did not want you in it through out the day, wifi was weak in room so I tried to use breakfast bar area and made to feel unwelcome there, tv was out and had to get a new one brought in, toilette was not working properly, unsuppervised children ran hallways day and night, desk clerks seemed uninterested.

We rented two adjoining rooms for one night and they were what one would expect for $100.00 a room a night. Rooms and Hotel were clean although one had a slight musty odor. Staff was pleasant. The breakfast was good and it was close to the attractions we were there to visit. If I was planning a one or two night stay I would stay here again. Any longer though I would probably go with a condo near the lake.

We use HI express a lot, because of the consistency of room and breakfast, etc. This time, they did not have the non-smoking note from Orbitz, so they moved us to another room. Fortunately, it was fairly cool that night, so we didn't really suffer from the a/c malfunction until the next morning when we were dressing, etc. The desk clerk commented when my husband told them about the a/c "this was booked through Orbitz? Can't be helped!" Other than that, it was a typical HI Ex, consistent, etc.

We walked into the lobby and it was under total remodel. The front entrance was partially blocked by construction material and workers. The smell of paint and noise from the construction was unbearable. If we could have found another hotel we would have move but it was Spring Break and we were paying Spring Break prices for the room. We should have been notified of the remodel at booking or given a reduced rate or a voucher for future vists.

The Holiday Express Branson Mo.(Green Mountain) was very comfortable,affordable and very well located. The location allowed easy access and departure.The staff was very helpful and the grounds and enviroment very clean.The hotel has a very nice little breakfast bar that is kept well supplied and clean.I would reccomen this hotel to anyone looking for anice stay at a nice price.
