Good hotel for the money

We had no problems checking in and they didn't even take a credit card for incidentals like most do. The room was large with an especially nice desk setup for business travelers and free wifi in the room.
There was a flat screen tv, microwave, mini fridge, and coffee machine all very clean. The bed linens and comforter, etc. were all very nice with lots of pillows. The breakfast was "cold" though there was a great waffle maker that worked perfectly - also, cereal, bagels, coffee, hot water, juice, etc.
The only thing I can fault about the entire experience is that the room sink was outside the bathroom and that the bathroom itself was then tiny (though clean). As a woman I hate putting on my makeup out in the open and I had to turn the light on which woke up my companion. Other than that quibble, which I wouldn't have minded a bit if I were traveling alone on business, everything was great.

We went there for MU's homecoming. It was a nice enough place to stay, but a little to far removed from the homecoming festivities. It was clean but it's due for a little modernizing. The staff was nice and friendly, and the complimentory breakfast was very good.

We were visiting the college and this hotel was conveniently located near the campus. As expected, the hotel is located in a college town.

Better than sleeping in the parking lot

It was dry and clean, but that's all it had going for it. The beds were uncomfortable, the heat was unreliable, the door had to be kicked in to open, the shower head hit me in the chest, and there was no iron. If you have no where else to stay, it'll work. Otherwise, stay somewhere else.

Foundation of hotel is sinking

The room and bathroom were clean. The carpet could have been vacuumed better. The foundation of the room had moved. You could tell by the slope in the floor near the bathroom. Also the bathroom and exterior doors both had a gap in them. I could see into the bathroom through the gap when the door was closed. The bed linens were clean. The staff was friendly and the pool was open and clean. We did not use the pool because we didn't have the time. As I drove around, I really didn't see any hotel in any better condition from the outside.

Busy weekend make it hard to accommodat

The hotels location is no more than 50 yards away from the always busy I-70, so if you are unfortunate enough to get a room facing the highway, you have to deal with traffic, and semi-trucks using their air-breaks. My second issue was all they had available was a handicap room, which would have been fine but the only shower head is set to waist high, where if there where the option for another shower head it would have made life a lot better. The staff did what they could to make the stay enjoyable, and the complimentary newspaper was a nice touch.

I went to tour the law school and my wife had an interview. We stayed at the Hampton in because it was so close to campus. Everything was as advertised. Very clean hotel and a good breakfast. Right next to campus.

We had two rooms...which they wouldn't assign us the connecting rooms (we were traveling with children 12 and 8), however they were across the hall. One of the rooms smelled so badly, we had to go and buy air freshners. The fridge in our room didn't work, but they did replace it the next morning. No elevator. LITTLE outside pool. LOTS of highway noise!!!!! For the price, it was okay, but nothing special. Staff-heavy accent made it difficult to communicate.

the room was nice, clean and well worth the money spent. they are obviously remodeling and there were some inconvenience is trying to get in the building many of the exits work closed from the outside, which cause me to have to walk around the building quite a bit to get to my room. aside from that it was a great room.

What is a 1.5 star Hotel?

Easy access, so the location is good and convenient for the highway traveler.
We got there late and the clerk was cordial and efficient. The lobby, as others have noted, really is the nicest part of the hotel.
We entered from the backside where the door area smelled of urine. The room was basic but the carpet was worn and torn in one area. The door did not close easily. The bathroom fan was crusted in dust and dirt.
At least the beds were comfortable.
The outside door didn't work the next morning and we had to walk around to the front for breakfast, which was unexceptional.
Next time I'll spend a few more dollars for something a bit nicer. This placed generally creeped us out.

The main photo is not an accurate depiction of this motel. The main entrance looks like it has been re-done fairly recently, but when you drive around the side to go to your room, the rest of the building is quite run down. The door we had to use to get inside the building to go to our room looked like we were walking into the back entrance of some old, ratty motel. The hallways weren't much better, but once we got into our room, it was not that bad. The room was fairly clean. Bottom Line: I won't be staying here again, but it could have been worse.

We were passing through the state heading East, so our stay was not long. It was however pleasant. At first we were assigned a "smoking room." When we objected [...] the room was gladly switched to a different room on a non-smoking hall. Room was spacious and clean, well supplied kitchenette, and comfortable bed.

Had three rooms, our room needed new carpet, but otherwise it was clean. All rooms were clean and had what we needed. I think if they have a full hotel as was the case of the Mizzu Tigers first fball game weekend, they need to think about getting a bigger pool. Close to interstate and had a decent breakfast.! Need to fill up their red books in the rooms and have the HBO guide too! Otherwise comfortable.

A real pleasent time.

My wife took the kids and some of their friends to visit grandma. We choose to stay at the Hampton Inn. The hotel was so nice. It was clean, the rooms were big, there was a pool which the kids used every evening after we got back from grandma's and the breakfast was great!!
There were also lots of restaruants near by to choose from for dinner.

We had a quick overnight stay before visiting the University of Missouri campus. Hotel was relatively new and clean. Breakfast great as usual at Hampton Inn.
Rooms are clean, quiet and comfortable.
We were spoiled by spending the previous week in a Hampton Inn in St Louis that was the greatest hotel we had ever been in. Otherwise, this one might have gotten a 5.

The check in process was extremely easy and there was ample parking. A 24 hour restaurant is located less than twenty steps away from the hotel but there was no noise that I noticed. I did not have a chance to use the pool or gym.
The hotel offers 3 free drinks (alcoholic) and as many sodas as you would like between 3 and 10 pm. They also offer free snacks such as chicken tenders, salad, vegetables, meat balls and nachos from 5:30 to 7 which certainly helps travelers that have a budget.
The laundry facilities were kept clean and were easy to use. I found the price reasonable and the dryer actually worked effectively.

Initially the electronic key didn't work on the side entrance. After we got in, my wife reported this to the front desk. The young lady accompanied us to the 5th floor & made sure the keys worked. I really enjoyed the breakfast on the 21st morning, really an outstanding meal!

New, pleasant hotel. It is out of town located on busy highway. We requested a room facing away from the traffic. Very quiet. Highway side not so quiet.

Had two-bedroom suite with full kitchen. Very easily accommodated five people. Staff was very nice. Breakfast of usual free hotel breakfast quality. For the money, we felt it was a very good value.

Breakfast-good variety each morning and free.
Staff-courteous, helpful.
Fitness room-the only two bikes were malfunctioning,treadmills worked.
Nice suite with kitchen, would definitely stay there again.
Very reasonable price.

The room was gorgeous and very clean. The kitchen would be wonderful for extended stay travelers. The breakfast buffet was delicious every morning and there's complimentary gourmet coffee available in the lobby 24/7. The pool looked nice (didn't go because no swimsuit). They allow pets with a 40 pound weight limit and charge a non-refundable deposit. The will not clean your room if your pet is there alone and not crated, though. My only complaint was that, like so many other hotels in the area, they majorly jacked up the price for graduation weekend.

Room was exceptionally nice, roomy, clean, had a Refrig & Microwave, not expecting that. Breakfast both mornings was very good, had great selections of hot & cold items. Staff was exceptionally pleasant. When I called from 2 hours away, at 9pm to let staff know I was indeed on my way, the night manager was very nice. Even gave me driving directions!! The pillows were wonderful, goose down like. No stiff neck. I had to stay in the room most of Saturday afternoon. The only somewhat negative was the TV went out for a few hours. I was able to read and take a nap. Naps aren't such a bad thing either!! The bed was VERY comfortable!!

Last stay of 2 week trip. Good choice. No breakfast offered though. Room was new and had some loose fixtures and the lounge chair for the corner was missing. Other than that a good stay.

The motel sets close to I-70 so you hear traffic sounds all night. The check in location was not well marked especially at night.

The experience at the hotel was good overall, just the quality of the hotel was lacking. If you're looking for something cheap and do not care about the quality then it's a good spot. If you are looking for a nice, new or clean place, this is not the spot.

Someone didn't show up for work in the morning and the one person left in the restaurant for the free breakfast was in way over his head, trying to wait on tables and cook breakfast at the same time. Resolution should have been much quicker than it was.

We are within two miles of downtown, the University of Missouri, Columbia College, Stephens College, and Cosmopolitan Park. Boone County Fairgrounds and the area hospitals are within a 5 mile radius. The Columbia Regional Airport and Rock Bridge State Park are 15 miles away. We are only five blocks away from an access point to the Bear Creek Trail, which connects Columbia*s two largest parks with a 4. 8 mile gravel trail. quests drinking throwing up on the walk ways yelling beeping car horns cursing all night long, parking was impossible you pulled into a space to narrow and had to CAREFULLY BACK out all the way to the main exit

We just needed a place to stay at night, and the hotel was fine for that. Not luxurious by any means, but staff were friendly and we felt safe. Also only a few minutes from downtown.

We were attending Parents Weekend in Columbia to visit our daughter at a football game where she attends college. We tried to check in early but that did not work out for us. Other than that is was a decent nights stay at the hotel. The price was accurate for the hotel. I know that it was a busy weekend but I was a little surprised to have housekeeping knocking on our door at 9:30AM since check out was suppose to be 11:00AM. Overall, a good clean hotel for a night.
