Motel 6 Columbia West

I realize that with short notice and little expense we consumers figure that we must overlook basic cleanliness and comfort but REALLY! There were cockroaches crawling on the wall, the smell of the room was neausiating and the beds substandard. If i would have had the energy i would have left! I expected so much more with the Motel 6 name on the building.

We weren't going to be in the hotel much but we couldn't handle to smell. The bed sucked and we left almost immediately.

It was ok, but nothing special at all. It's a Motel 6, and if you stay there you know what you're getting. I did notice though that my bed was hard as a rock.

Room had horrible odor like it used to be a chain smokers room, and upon check in, the room did not have all the towels or soap needed. Had to hold down toilet handle for it to flush at all. Significant wear stains in the carpet in a path from the door to the bathroom. Trim coming off the walls in the bathroom and overall uncomfortable bed. Not worth any money savings.

I had a reservation, but when I entered the room, it was trashed. It looked like someone started to clean it and then quit. The lady at the desk gave me a different room. The room looked like it was painted by a drunk. There was paint on the door hinges and the towel rack. And the towel! (yes singular) That thing belongs on a belt sander; same size and texture. The caulking around the tub sealed in the public hair like a honeybee in amber (gross!).

The hotel was clean and in a good location, but nothing to write home about. The lady at the desk was exceptionally nice and even helped us with driving directions to our next spot.

We go to columbia about 3 times a yr. for dog sports events. We are glad the motel accepts dogs that are well trained and polite. We have stayed at this motel several times, have experienced good and bad stays. This last wknd as always the employees are super friendy and nice. never a problem there. Have in previouse has sheet problems. This time my bed was a bit lumpy. and our tub did not drain while showering.that was a bit of problem for 2nd person in. room smelt a bit of smoke or sewer. as I am allergic to smoke and some chemical smells. We love staying next to red lobster so we can celebrate and walk back on sat night. For the price the motel is good. but the employees make it special

the bed was not very comfotable, the pillows were extremely thin, and the room smelled horrible

The room was small but worked for just an overnight stay. The bed wasn't terrible and the pillows were good. It didn't appear dirty. The shower head was weird and the spray almost stung and also not very warm. There was no shampoo and conditioner or a hairdryer as I was hoping.
