Nice for honeymoon
Stayed our first two nights here. Upgraded us to a suite since it was our honeymoon. Halls and elevators felt old, kind of dirty. But the room was nice. Clean, except for an odd stain on the comforter. Modern amenities, decent location, fair price, considering its competitors.

Great place to stay!
We had a great time staying in the newly renovated Crowne Plaza Hotel. We were there for 4 nights, and they only charged us for 2 days of parking, which is $13/day. The only complaint I have is the elevators. There are only 2, and they take forever to get to the upper floors. Also, they're HAUNTED (the elevators)! They sometimes get "lost", and say you're going up when you're going down, and sometimes take you to the wrong floor. Other than that, great place!

Bad location and parking
The room was nice but the Sleep Number didn't work. They charged us $13.00 a day for parking garage and the lady told us to not leave the parking garage after 5pm because the garage is full by then and we would have to park 3 block away. This hotel wasn't worth the money for what you get.

Nightmare on 1301 Wyandotte St
$300.00 Unauthorized charge on our bank statement. We stayed as a part of a wedding group on the 19th floor. One of our relatives was in our room smoking a cigar. The Maintenance man (In our room for non-working phone) turned us in. Front desk employee [...]called us in our room, scolded us for smoking, told us not to let it happen again OR they would "impose" a $300.00. We promosed that it wouldn't happen again, "AND IT DIDN'T". Guess what we found on our bank statement when we returned back to Colorado. Yep!!! A $300.00 charge on our account as well as the 300.00 for a 2 night stay = $600.00 total. Liars and Thieves!!! Spoke with "[...]" front desk manager, REFUSED to give it back, under ANY circumstances. Are you Kidding me??? Lets not even get into the fact that there is NO Bell hop Service, NO Valet, No Shuttle service that was promised to us earlier that morning to the Wedding, Forced to use their 13 per day parking because there is no street parking downtown, and sleep number beds that were totally deflated and would not hold air longer than a couple of hours. Not to mention the graduation party staying there at the same time, hooping and hollering in hallways at 3:00am looking for the pool for 15 minutes. No EFFECTIVE security either. I have filed complaints with VISA and Kansas City BBB. Don't be Fooled, Don't stay here. This place is seriously a dump and a scam.

Great hotel for a concert!
We have stayed here before for a concert at the Sprint Center and didn't hesitate to come back again this time. It's in the perfect location for the Sprint center, resturants and nightlife in the KC power & light district. We have parked and walked to eat and venue both times. The staff was helpful & courteous. The rooms are nicely decorated and clean with a very comfy bed! Oh and the Starbucks in the lobby is a bonus!

Disappointed
I was disappointed that we stayed here for my wife's 60th birthday. It was right across the street from the Music Hall which was. A great location. Room seemed of smoke and TV lost signal every several minutes. Hotel cafe was closed even though printed material said it was open. Front desk said we could eat in the bar, but we were ignored, so we left and ate at Marriott---should have stayed there instead.

Not a Good Experience...
We went for a KC Chiefs game and decided to stay in the downtown area since it was only about 10-15mins from the stadium. We got the 1 bedroom suite but had many problems with the actual room. The first problem was the bathroom door was a sliding door that DIDN'T slide at all, therefore we had to keep the bathroom door open while using it. It was only two of us but just thought people should know that the bathroom is in the bedroom not in the living room area in case you have guests staying. I also found hair in the shower and something stuck to one of the towels. I was excited when I seen the sleep number controller on the bed until I went to use it to see like the bathroom door it didn't work. There was no ice on any floor - the machines were out the staff said and the tv kept going out and saying "scrambled" The only positive about the hotel was the guy at the front who drove the shuttle. He was very friendly and volunteered to drive us to a bar. I was very upset about the room esp because I travel a lot and this was the most problems I've ever had in one room.

Not Impressed!
Not so impressed
Overall I was not impressed with this hotel! There was some type of leak which caused our floor to be wet. They need safes in the room, we had 2 rooms and credit cards were stolen from both rooms. The one good thing about it, is that it was a very quick walk to the Power & Light district.
