Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites KANSAS CITY SPORT COMPLEX AREA

This hotel is hard to find. I got into my room late. First thing I noticed is there was no luggage stand. I went right to bed. Got up the next morning to shower, there were no towels.none. The bath tub was missing parts and the enamal was coming off as there were rust stains in the tub as well. The staff was friendly and got me another room. The damage was done. I won`t be staying there again.

we were tired when we got there. we had trouble finding the place. the pool smelled mildew and they had closed it just that day to work on the ceiling. we chose this hotel for the pool. but the evening shift person on duty was WONDERFUL. She was able to direct us to the plaza and to a place to pick up a few items. she was willing to take the extra mile to help us. we LOVED her. she should have a raise. breakfast was okay but the ham and eggs were gone by 0800, we didn't get any. that was sad as we had picked the place for breakfast and pool. we would stay there again but need better directions on internet. the phone number was wrong on the interenet

I've stayed at several Holiday Inn Express hotels over the years and this one really dissapointed in a couple of ways. But first, the good things. The room and hotel were clean and well maintained. The staff was exceptional!! Now for the bad. First, the hotel is located in such a way that it's difficult to get to if headed west on Hwy. 350. A lot of traffic! The hotel is not very well insolated. I could hear the person next door snoring and the noise from the room above and the hall was very loud. The mattress has some kind of plastic cover on it that caused me to sweat all night long no matter how cool the room was. I woke up about every hour to change positions because of the plastic cover under the sheets. I won't stay here again becuse of the negative aspects. Which is too bad because the staff were fantastic...

The Holiday Inn Express Hotel was in a good location...only about 10-15 minutes from Crown Center, KS. However, the staff was not very friendly. When we went to our room, we discovered the phone and the refrigerator did not work. We told the front desk before we left for dinner that evening. They did not apologize...just said they would take a look. When we got back later that evening, we did have a working phone in the room and a new working refrigerator. The stairwells in the hotel smelled aweful, so we took the elevators to our room. Would have preferred the stairs for the exercise.
