One Night Stop
Although the hotel was in the process of remodeling, it was a very nice stay. This was our second to last stop before arriving home. The staff was very courteous and friendly. We ate at the restaraunt located in the hotel, Houlihans, had a Tuscan Salad that was absolutely wonderful. The Rosemary Chicken was delicious also. It was a good stay as we make our journey home from our two week vacation. The huge pool and lounging area, which was closed for renovations, would be great for a family of any size when it reopens.

We just slept there but it was nice. However, we didn't have any soap in the bathroom. There were hairs in the sink and the food at the restraunt was greasy.

great location, great service
Working stay, so use of the restaurant room service and speedy, reliable internet service were great assets. And the housekeeping staff was excellent and concerned.

Unsatisfied
Over-Priced for room condition
I requested non-smoking room and received a smoking room. There were cigarette burns in the carpeting as well as cosmetic damage to the furniture. Otherwise the room was fine. It reminded me of a cheap hotel though.

Dining tip:
Not Applicable
Only food that is close, other than the Houlihan's in the building, are two fast food establishments. Many of the restaurants are on the other side of town, so plan on driving to get your meal.

All aboard!
The hotel was nicely maintained but as with most Holiday Inns (not Express) their room furnishings are a bit tired. This hotel is right on the MO river so nice view but there is also a freight train line between the hotel and the river that is active ALL NIGHT (complete with blasting horns every 30-45 mins). The restaraunt has nice food and great kids eat free promotions. Indoor pool was nice with extremely warm water but a bit cloudy with massive chlorine levels.

Conveniently located, reasonably priced
Food was much better than usual for this chain of hotels. View of Missouri River is obstructed by elevated highway and railroad on west side of hotel is noisy at night. Best to pick a room facing east. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
