Comfort Inn Central West End

The staff was wonderful, they directed me to a very nice restaurant for dinner. The room was very clean.

Stayed for Valentine's day because it was close to the restaurant we were going to. Nice area!! Close to highway. Room was cute and contemporary. The bathroom was small but cute. Breakfast wasn't all that special but hey it was free lol. Overall we had a good time there.

My son and I were in St. Louis to visit Washington University. Great location near Forest Park and the University. The hotel was okay--older hotel that was recently updated. Nice decor. Unfortunately, our room was not cleaned during the day while we were out. I called the front desk and was told, "Yea, we're having a problem." The front desk offered to clean room then, but we were ready to rest and clean up for dinner so we declined and just asked for fresh towels. They seemed to be experiencing some staff problems. When I mentioned the issue again at check out, I only got a shrug and an apology. Place was kind of dirty in general. Too bad, if my son goes to Wash U, we won't be staying here during visits.

We were very impressed how clean the room and bathroom was, and great central location.

Lots of amenities for the dollar -- breakfast buffet, Keurig coffeemaker, free WIFI, MP3 player plug-in clock.

Free parking! This recently changed from Indigo Hotel to the Comfort Inn. If you call a cab, let them know this or you may be waiting for a long while. The hotel is pretty and recently remodeled. The room is average, but shows the wear of age in the areas that haven't been remodeled. The bathrooms are quite small. There was not much in the way of security and we did see all sorts of people coming and going all night and the back door was never locked. The best part is the location. Forrest Park is a stunning area and the hotel is less than a block from the park and the History Museum. Go for a walk around the surrounding neighborhoods to see some of the most gorgeous homes in America. The workout room is also very nice and has new equipment. The worst part is the staff. If you could get their attention or find them behind the front desk, they were quite rude and abrupt. Upon check in I had to ask every pertinent question- where the room is, where to park, charge for internet, etc. Most of these did not come with an actual answer. I would stay here again if the price were right, though, I worry that the cleanliness of the hotel will suffer due to the lack of caring staff.
