Clean, Comfortable Room
We didn't have any problems, everyone said hello, and our room was immaculate. The soft comfortable bed and fluffy pillows were the best. It was also great to have a thermostat which adjusted well. We faced the highway but hardly noticed it. There were plenty of clean towels. No complimentary breakfast, though, so even if the description says there is one when you book, expect to pay in the full service restaurant (which was still great).

Short drive from hotel
Got to Snarf's on the Loop and order the French Dip sandwich they're open until midnight. Also, there's not much to do after 10pm for the under 21 crowd.

Great Location
This hotel was a great stay for the night. The customer service was outstanding and very helpful. The room was spotless but did not have a refrigerator which was the only downfall to my room. I am not sure if it was just my room that did not have a refrigerator or if none of them did.

Attentive to weary travelers
We travelled through St. Louis and needed a spot to rest. The Holiday Inn at Forest Park served us well. The staff was attentive to making our stay pleasant and restful. We found a tasty treat for dinner on the Hill and enjoyed the city's offering of the Science Center for the kids the next morning.

Business Trip
The hotel location was great. Very convenient to the highway, downtown, the Loop and the airport. The proximity to the highway had a serious drawback, it was very noisy. The room smelled very musty and moldy. The room was clean but the carpets could have used a serious shampoo cleaning, which would help the smell in the room. The staff was very professional and inviting.

Good Location, not so good hotel!
We stayed at the Holiday Inn Forest Park. The location of the hotel couldn't have been better. It's close to The Hill with lots of great restaurants and we were within 10 mins. of the Arch and Soulard Market. Downside to the hotel: our room looked like it needed a lot of maintenance. The sliding glass door to the balcony wouldn't lock. There was a hole in the wall near the tub in the bathroom. Our toilet looked old as the hills and didn't work properly. Breakfast was NOT included with our stay. On the upside: the staff at the hotel was VERY NICE and helpful. On previous trips to St. Louis we have stayed at Drury Inn which we have always found to be much better than this Holiday Inn.

Unexpectedly nice
I was in the city for unpleasant family business. This hotel's pleasant and timely service, comfortable beds, lush towels and linens, made it as pleasant as it was possible. I was very pleased with the hotel!!!!!

The Bad Holiday Inn St Louis Experience
run down and dirty - keep your shoes on.
Bad noisy location. Looks like the building was pieced together over time. Bar/dinning room was old and smelled bad. Elevators were slow at best. Room was run down and looked dirty. Kept my shoes on and slept in my clothes. Front desk cleark was nice and helpful upon check in. Not what I expected of a Holiday Inn. Not what I had experienced at Holiday Inns in the past. Stay away from here. You'll regret the stay. The price wasnt event that great.

Easy to get to and from Barnes Hospital
The hotel was very easy to find. My husband had to be at Barnes hospital at 7:00am for testing, so we checked out at 6:30am. We didn't arrive until around 8:45pm the night before, so we didn't really get to enjoy the amenities. We did however go to the restaraunt for a late night snack. It was very nice. The waitress was very sweet. We will be going back to Barnes for surgery soon and will most likely stay here again.

Good hotel, decent price
All staffers we met were friendly and helpful. The hotel restaurant was understaffed one morning. The breakfast buffet included fruit, yogurt, muffins, juice, and other choices that made it easier to eat healthy food on vacation. The hotel's location worked well for our trip. We visited Forest Park, Tower Grove Park, City Museum, and restaurants on South Grand - all within 10 minutes.
