Business trip

The room decor was very dark. It was a non smoking room and had an odor as if it had been smoked in. The pillows had an odor as well. It was the perfect location for me and they had a friendly staff.

family trip

overall i liked the hotel stay but i think they are expensive on certain things, like $10 a night for a roll away bed, $4 for 1 pancake at their on hotel restaraunt, they charge $3 a day just to use the water slide (which i thought was included in the stay) and i wanted a smoking room and ended up with a nonsmoking room. The second day we did not even get another coffee packet, and the third day we didnt even get more shampoo. The rooms were clean, and housekeeping staff were friendly but the front desk guy was more interested in chit chatting on the phone while the other girl at the front desk chit chatted with what i assume to be a friend, and it took 30 minnutes to get checked in (another lady who was not in line waiting to check in had a question about the water slide and was able to buy her pass to the water slide before I and another gentleman were even helped). Comming from a person who use to work in a hotel, their front desk staff could work a little more and save the chit chatting with friends till after work. Housekeeping staff are doing a great job.

Stranded in Billings, MT

I booked two rooms at this hotel through Orbitz. When we arrived the motel didn't have our reservation confirmation from Orbitz and they were booked solid and had no rooms for us. When I called Orbitz they said "Sorry" but there is nothing we can do for you there aren't any other motel rooms available. We were left in Billings, MT with no where to stay!!!!

Unbelievable vacation

[...] when we arrived at 10:30 pm that night, after driving 14 hours, the hotel did not have our reservation for either my family or my parents! They acted like there was nothing they could do and we would have to find another hotel. After we persisted, they magically had a cancellation and put all five of us in one room! Every time we took a shower, we would be scalded one moment and then frozen in the next moment. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. [...]

Not so happy...horrible customer service

We went as a family to Billings to just get away and relax and let the kids swim, etc. It was an average room and cleanliness was good. My only gripe was the customer service at the desk and it seemed to be poor with all the guests as there were several unhappy customers. I bought my room online and when I went to check out they had billed me for the room again on the credit card i gave for incidentals. They said they refunded me and when I got home they not only billed me once but twice...so I was paying for the room three times. The sad thing is I thought I was getting a deal [...] being charged $103.00 but when the hotel billed me they charged $83.06. So all the way around I felt we got screwed! I called the hotel about the incident today and they said I would have to contact my bank come monday...Oh! What a headache!!!

We spend the night frequently in Billings and my suggestion would be to not stay at the Billings Hotel and Convention Center and perhaps call the Hotel directly to make reservations so that you aren't paying more money by doing it online.

Overpriced 'Motel'

I expected this site to be business traveler suitable, but it was far from that! Although you entered the rooms from an indoor hallway, it felt like a drive up Motel. Uncomfortable scratchy sheets, paper thin pillows and walls! You could hear every child running up and down the halls, as well as the vacuuming that began at 7:00 am! There are an abundance of hotels in Billings, for $100 a night we could have done way better, this one should have been half that! Unsatisfied from California

dissapointed

Nothing that was really the staff's fault. The reason we enjoy staying here is the lounge and comedy on the weekends. So, we were quite dissapointed when the lounge was closed saturday for a private function and friday added a $10.00 cover charge for the band. Being a paying guest at the hotel I don't feel that we should have to pay an additional fee to enjoy the ammenities that should be part of the deal. Last time it was wristbands for the waterslide this time a cover charge for lounge, who knows next time, 5 cent a sheet toilet paper surcharge?
