GranTree Plus

It was an ok place to stay. It is right next to I-90, with an easy off and on. They seem to be in the middle of remodeling, so things were kind of in disarray. I am still trying to fingure out what the 'Plus' is for. It didn't have anything special. In fact the other Best Westerns I have stayed at all had a continental breakfast, but this didn't. The staff at the front desk was nice and helpful. Overall, it was just ok, not what I have come to expect from Best Western.

GranTree Inn worked well for our needs

If you're looking for luxury, this isn't the place for you, but hotels in this chain can be expected to be pretty well maintained. Beds were comfy, and I especially liked the white coverlets. Very nice TV with an antibacterial remote - nice touch. Our room had a small microwave, fridge, and safe. The brand of soap and shampoo that they had was also nicer than many other places I've stayed. We only stayed one night for a local 10k race held the next day, and it was convenient for us. We didn't have time to use the pool, so I can't comment on that. Staff members at the front desk were very nice. The hotel was evidently in the middle of a painting project as the hallway was missing its baseboards and there was a strong paint smell. But it didn't affect the room at all, and it's always nice to see a hotel that is doing maintenance -- as opposed to NOT doing any. No complaints.

Time-saving tip: Short drive from hotel

The road that runs east-west right next to the hotel is a shortcut to the retail shopping areas on the west side of Bozeman. The downtown area also is straight down 7th Ave and has great places to eat. For last-minute necessities, the hotel is right across the road from one of the nicer Wal-Mart stores in the state, but getting back across the road can be tricky due to right-turn-only lanes.

The hotel is under construction, so peeling paint and exposed pipes on second floor, no elevator.

Workout facilities across the street on top of the Arby's? Staff however, made up for all else, so friendly, helpful and nice. I think I paid too much for a place that had no elevator or free breakfast, or on site workout. This IS Montana!! To walk across a snowy parking lot to get to the workout room was strange!

the worst stay ever

The hotel was being painted and the entire hotel smelled like paint. It gave me a headache. The painters didn't clean up after themselves, hence there was paint and plaster on the stairs. And then, the pool was closed for three days because they were painting the walls of the pool. The fitness room was across the parking lot which was a hassle to get to. And the biggest bummer was I thought breakfast was included, but it was not....and the staff was rude!

Good night's stay

We were very happy with our stay. The room was nice and very clean. It is a nice place to stay if you are just looking for a place to sleep. Our only complaint was with the restaurant. The service was lousy. Otherwise, it was a nice quiet place to stay.

Hall ways need to be cleaner and smell better.

The main lobby and restaurant was nice. The room was clean and comfortable, but walking through the hallways to get to the rooms was dirty and did not smell good at all. I think they might of still been in the remodeling process and had not done the hallways yet.

manager was rude

The Grantree hotel and the convenience store next door are managed together. The convenience store was displaying maxim and other men’s magazines with scantily-clad women at children's eye level. I asked the clerk to move the magazines to a higher level. The clerk said no. I also asked the manager and he refused too. The manager’s stance to not protect children was frustrating because parents don’t have a choice about whether their children see these images. He was rude. Do not stay at this hotel.

Fantastic getaway

Very pleasant stay. Room is very clean, very well design for the need of people who are away from home. Bed is clean, comfortable. There are computers and printer in the lounge for guess use. Hotel locates close to a business center. Very convenient for dining, filling your gas tank, shopping. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. All in all, the motel provides a convenient, safe, nice, and clean place for you and your family. Price per night little steep though

Safe and clean. Too loud near the pool.

Clean safe hotel near the highway and short driving distance from downtown. Ask for a room that is not close to the pool, as our room was next to the pool and we had a lot of trouble sleeping because the sound from the splashing and talking carried into our room.

Treated in Montana fashion!

I recently stayed at the Best Western Gran Tree while scouting for wedding venues in the Bozeman area. My stay was enjoyable, staff pleasant and helpful, bed was very comfortable, and the room clean with all the necessary amenities. I recommend Gran Tree to anyone visiting Bozeman or passing through Big Sky country.
