Enjoyed our short stay

Front desk staff were very pleasant, treating us like old friends. The room has nice furniture and comfy king bed. The only sign of the hotel's age was in the shower; some sections of tile should be replaced. But this was just aesthetic and not a functional issue. My husband and I only stayed one night for a local event and didn't eat in the restaurant. However, it is popular locally and we enjoyed the outdoor patio a few months ago during football season.
A special rate made this stay well worth it for us. Due to the hotel's proximity to the University and riverside location, usually the rate is higher than we like to pay for a place to sleep, so this was a nice treat. The special rate made it comparable to a local budget hotel where we sometimes stay.

Situated right in downtown, pool, bar, casino as bad pay-off as any other, restuarant is fine but Missoula has outstanding dining so go find that but if you need an early breakfast it's the best in town. Room is great, bath could be more upscale but almost there.

Expected a hotel, got a motel, of which we are not big fans and try to avoid. Worked out fine for our one-night stay as we were traveling through, but would not like to stay here any longer than that. The place was clean and convenient though.

I go to Missoula at least twice a year for business, wanted something reasonable in walking distance to my clients. This is right on the edge of the downtown core, next to the medical center. Very much your typical Red Lion room, though lacking refrigerator and microwave (as other reviewers have noted). Breakfast is now included with the room rate, though it's very minimal (eggs on the hot bar only one morning out of three). I'd stay there again.

The hotel was close to the airport yet just a "hop" away from downtown. It very neat and clean. The boys loved the pool and hot tub. The staff was very helpful and extremely friendly.

We were put into a ground-level room with people walking right outside our window. The room was also handicap-ready, which is OK, except the toilet seat was about three feet off the floor.
The biggest problem was the breakfast situation. The room is too small for the size of the hotel, and there were no seats available when we first showed up. On our second try, though the small staff tried to keep up, there were no plates or glasses available. I mentioned this to the young woman at the front desk and she expressed sympathy but offered no help. It was as if the lack of organization was my problem, not the hotel's.

The hotel itself was just amazing. The room was excellent and roomy, the breakfast was unbelievably good. The hotel was very clean and so was the outside. Wasn't impressed with the view. Just the side of the mountain and couldn't open my windows because of the fans running out side. Here's the bad part. When checking in the gal asked for my card. Thinking it was for any additional charges I gave it to her. I told her my room was already paid for twice. Next couple of days I tried to use my card and it came back invalid. talk about embaressing. Called my bank and they said that my hotel was tring to charge my room again. Had to go to the front desk and straighten it all out again. It was so humiliating when I was at the store purchasing quite a few items and my card was rejected because of there mistake. The other problem I had was when house keeping cleaned my room they turned my refrigerator up so my items were not that cold and I had formula in there for my child. Also my room never cooled down. I even tried to turn my thermostate to 50. It ran all night but never got realy cold. Would stay there again but would suggest that they retrain there help.

This hotel is beautiful. Very, very nice. We had a great stay. We did not get a chance to use the pool or other amenities, so I can't comment there, but if they were anything like our room, they were top notch.

The location and accessibility was great. The staff and amenities were also very nice. The problem was the AC in our room was non functional - 80 degrees at 10 pm after 2 hours of trying. They did find us another room which was an upgrade, but we did not get there until midnight and running the AC all night only maintained the room temp at 70. I don't really understand the problem (they said it was because they are a "green hotel" and do not use regular AC) but the lobby was very cool. I think they have a definite design flaw. I hate to think what the room temp would have been if the outside temp had been over 90 that day.

We were pleased with the room... but the pack-n-play they brought us was disgusting! We found pictures in it and it was full of rice and the mattress pad had like thrown up baby ceareal all over it! they were going to refund us our money but couldn't since we booked through an online website!

A little distance away from the other majors and the city center, but quiet and a good value. Only stayed an evening on the drive cross country. Clean and more than adequate.

We enjoyed this hotel. Definately one to use again! Very clean rooms, great shower and the pancake machine was cool, plenty of food to choose from for breakfast. Nice staff. Very close to the highway and restaraunts.

The staff was great and even helped get a reservation canceled outside of the 24 hr notice time frame when we realized that we did not need one of our rooms. The location is great if you're not a "downtown" location traveler. Right along the interstate with a large gas station right across the street and restaurants within 1 mile. The cost was higher than we like to spend for a night in a motel but the cleanliness, amenities, and ambiance make it an acceptable cost (once in a while).

Just stayed one night on our way through but it was a good choice. Room was clean and staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was done well with plenty of food and kept clean and organized.

orbit charged me $96.75 on my charge card for the room. Then when I checked in I asked about the ARRP card and the man at the desk said it would cost $72.75. Which the next morning I had a bill under the door to come down to the desk and pay the $72.75. So I did. So I was charged twice for the room. 2 different prices. I was finally credited the lesser amount. I don't know why? The lower amount.

We arrived a bit pass midnight and were met with a big, happy smile from the night desk clerk. And things just got better. They all were warm, very accommodating and even helped us with getting a recipe on line. We only wished that we could have spent more AT the hotel. We even got a big smile and THANK YOU at 4:45am when we had to leave. We would definitely recommend the Express to all travelers.

I found the Quality Inn and Conference Center in Missoula to be very comfortable and quiet. The beds were just right, and the linens and pillows were high quality. The room, as well as the bathroom, was clean, and room service inquired daily as to exactly what we wished in the way of cleaning. There was a good selection of programming on the television. The grounds, and building as a whole, appeared to be very well kept. The lobby and dining facility was bright and homey. The desk clerks were helpful and friendly, and more than once made phone calls for us, gave us directions, and made polite conversation without being too familiar. There were several good restaurants down the street, as well as Southgate Mall. A nice Safeway store and cinema were just across the street. Checkout was a breeze. When it was time to go, the clerk simply took our room passes, checked the computer and said that we were all set to go. I didn't know anything about Missoula, and wasn't sure about staying here. I expect to return to Missoula periodically, and I will continue to use this hotel as long as the level of service and comfort remain as high as it is now.

Cons: bed is a little on the firm side, no fridge or microwave in the room
Pros: clean room, convenient location, extremely friendly staff (goes that extra mile to make you feel welcome), fantastic continental breakfast with biscuits and gravy and sausage and lots more choices, pet friendly, close to a lot of shopping, the freeway, and great places to eat, many updates in the older building (like flat screen tv's, free wi-fi, hair dryer, ironing board), quiet, nice lobby and continental breakfast area, family oriented, parking for larger vehicles or trailers, hot showers with good water pressure, and did I mention the friendly staff!
All in all, we will definitely stay here again. The owner is a nice older lady that was there for breakfast with her husband. Still actively checking on her quests, it was apparent to me that her first concern was the customer, and providing value with a smile. Having stayed at many hotels, this was one of the best experiences I have had in a long time.

Hotel is in a convenient location, with access to the interstate, restaurants, and shopping. Friendly staff, free WiFi, a nice complimentary hot breakfast, and a small business center that was perfect for printing out our boarding passes. I would definitely stay here again. The only thing that may turn someone off is that the doors are outside, more motel than hotel.

Be aware it is 5 miles out of town and next to atruck stop, with another under construction across the street. ThAt said, the place was quiet, clean, and had a wonderful desk staff. The truch stop restaurant next door was closed for remodeling, so I had to go into town. Missoula traffic is horrendous, so its good to be away from it, but when you need to go to town, it is a bit of a drive.

The price was a little high

Call me old fashioned, but I don't think there is a motel on the planet worth more than $65/night, yes, I'm old fashioned. The room was clean, beds comfortable and there were no problems with the shower. There appears to be a general lack of trust with the manager, who was very kind. He handed me only one key, the remote for the tv and I had to go to him for a bowl of ice. No microwave, or shampoo in the rooms, but there was a push dispenser of what smelled like hand soap on the wall in the shower, along with a small bar of soap. A continental breakfast was not included and there was no coffee maker in the room. I just think it was overpriced for what it I offered, but I will likely return and stay again.
