Enjoyed our short stay
Front desk staff were very pleasant, treating us like old friends. The room has nice furniture and comfy king bed. The only sign of the hotel's age was in the shower; some sections of tile should be replaced. But this was just aesthetic and not a functional issue. My husband and I only stayed one night for a local event and didn't eat in the restaurant. However, it is popular locally and we enjoyed the outdoor patio a few months ago during football season. A special rate made this stay well worth it for us. Due to the hotel's proximity to the University and riverside location, usually the rate is higher than we like to pay for a place to sleep, so this was a nice treat. The special rate made it comparable to a local budget hotel where we sometimes stay.

Sightseeing tip:
Short drive from hotel
In addition to the walking/biking path along the river, the hotel is also very close to Greenough Park, a forested gem surrounded by pleasant neighborhoods. It's north of the hotel a walkable distance away, but due to busy intersections near the hotel I'd recommend driving. Ask hotel staff for directions.

Missoula Visit
Good location. Hotel is on the older side and could sure use some updating. Rooms are comfortable but nothing at all special. Will probably stay at another hotel on our next trip to Missoula.

Very Nice Hotel
My room was right on the water so it was absolutely beautiful--great all the way around--the restaurant is a bit pricey but great food. Would definitely stay there again!

Weary traveler's haven
It's a long way from San Diego and this hotel offered a relaxing pause in the driving. Right on the river with a fantastic restaurant, this hotel provides everything you need: refrigerator, coffee pot, quality linen on the beds. Friendly staff. Sit on your balcony and enjoy the action on the river!

Simple Pleasures
I lived in Missoula, MT for 24 years so never had the opportunity to stay at this VERY desirably located hotel on the scenic Clark Fork River. I spent every Wednesday lunching with my gal pals at Finn and Porter, and spent many a happy hour on the beautiful deck off the restaurant. I was MOST pleasantly surprised at the hotel stay and will most certainly be back. Little simple things mean a lot to a weary traveler and this place was the BEST at providing the little things, like warm cookies, hot coffee, ice water all in the lobby. A VERY comfy bed with loads of 'just right' pillows, beautiful flat screen tv, I was right next to the lovely outdoor pool and my sleep could not have been better. I awoke to wonderful bathroom ammenities like great shampoos, soaps and fluffy towels. The restaurant is one of the best in Missoula. I had a great time! HIGHLY recommend!

Great location with wonder view.
We were here for my son's graduation. Campus is just a short walk over the pedestrian bridge. This was very convenient. Downtown and the great farmers market were also just a few short blocks away. The staff, especially [...], was very friendly and helpful. They seemed happy to see us and asked us questions about our different outtings. This was truly one of our best hotel stays. We would go back in a minute.

LSAT Stay
The hotel is in a very good location near the UM campus. As someone taking their LSATs the following day, and looking for a quiet and comfortable place to stay, the Doubletree was an excellent choice.
