Easy and close to things

Room and service were good. Had trouble with a key to an ice room and the breakfast wasn't too great. But overall, for a weekend in Missoula, this worked well.

Right Price. Nice Place.

We were in Missoula to visit family and there were to many of us, to stay with family , so we stayed at the Red Lion. It was very nice and clean. The room was well kept. My only downer was no indoor pool or hot tub. We did not eat the breakfast wo I can't report. I would stay again.

Okay for a night

Expected a hotel, got a motel, of which we are not big fans and try to avoid. Worked out fine for our one-night stay as we were traveling through, but would not like to stay here any longer than that. The place was clean and convenient though.

Reasonable price for the location

I go to Missoula at least twice a year for business, wanted something reasonable in walking distance to my clients. This is right on the edge of the downtown core, next to the medical center. Very much your typical Red Lion room, though lacking refrigerator and microwave (as other reviewers have noted). Breakfast is now included with the room rate, though it's very minimal (eggs on the hot bar only one morning out of three). I'd stay there again.

Comfortable hotel

This is a nice, clean hotel in a central area of Missoula so it's really easy to get around. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The only suggestion I would have is add minibars or at least refrigerators to the rooms. I come to Missoula frequently to visit family. This is becoming the hotel I prefer in this area. Also, it is not terribly expensive.

Shopping tip: Short walk from hotel

There is a large grocery store next to the hotel. I have found that really convenient for picking up odds and ends.

downtown location

Modest price for downtown location. Ten minute walk to center of city and most business offices. Nothing special about the motel. All rooms open to the outside. Stay in a room on the east side as there is a railroad track that loops around the northern and western sides of the motel. However, there is very littl train traffic - perhaps one in the evening.

not very good

we asked to be upgraded to a king size bed but were told none were available except on the second floor. In the morning we found out the second floor was closed and we had no hot water to take a shower with. The chair in the room needs to be cleaned as it has several stains on it. we have stayed at the Red Lion for approx 5 yrs and it has gone downhill. the hotel badly needs new pillows as the ones we had were flat and hard. told this to the desk clerk and we were in agreement.

Not a nice hotel

This was rated as a three star hotel, and in no way fir that quality. Old, musty and very outdated, this was not worth the money. Would not stay there again.

a fine stay with one exception

The room is what I expected from Red Lion. The front desk was manned by very young not so experienced persons. I had reserved two rooms one with one queen and another with two. We were given two single queen rooms. When we went to correct was charged extra. Basically paying the extra for the two queen size beds twice.
