We had two rooms for two nights. The rooms were updated, clean and comfortable. The lobby was nice and the staff was courteous and professional. Location was very convenient to restaurants. The continental breakfast was good and the eating area was nice. Would definitely stay there again.

One night visit for soccer tournament
Check in was quick, room was clean, beds were fine. However, the room was the worst I have stayed in as far as noise. You could hear the road traffic all night, the train ran at least 3 or 4 times during the middle of the night, the walls vibrated when the train went by, the plumbing pipes creaked all night. The a/c unit ran when it wanted to not because it was a certain temp in the room. Breakfast in the morning was great. Price was good but next time I would bring noise machine or ear muffs to sleep at night.

Get what you pay for
First room was on the third floor.....stepping out of the elevator you could smell that it was a smoking floor. I quickly called the front desk and they did swap me to the last nonsmoking room available. Two things if staying at this location...Ask for a room facing toward 40 get a nice view of the mountains. Second if staying local eat before 10pm or you will be at the waffle house across the street like me. I came for business so it was just a place to sleep but the hotel lacks anything beyond a pool (in season).

Okay
The main problem we had was the mattresses were extremely hard. There was no give at all. I tossed and turned all night and woke up with an achy back. The trains that ran right beside the motel didn't help either.

To expensive for what you get
When I booked I was told it was in walking distance to town well it was not. They did not change the sheets on the beds. Overall to just sleep and take a shower it was fine. The one thing I really like it was next to interstate.

The room was clean & looked recently renovated. Good location except for the freight line behind the hotel. Staff is very friendly & helpful. Highly recommended for the value minded traveler.

Location is great!!! Short walk to Root Bar, Waffle House and Store. Azalea Park is less than 5 minutes away. Pool is refreshing on a hot day.

Not bad for the price
The location was great for us. We love the area and don't mind staying outside of Asheville city limits. The only thing that was disappointing was the breakfast. Other then that for the price is was right. The lady when we checked in must have been having a really bad day. But when you are in that area of work. You should always put on a happy face no matter what.
