Thought it might be better. . .
Got put up at the Marriott for a job interview, but since it was a bit expensive for me to stay there for my remaining nights in Charlotte, I opted for the Best Western. It was a bit run-down (splotchy paint touch-ups on the walls), and a problem with my bathroom faucet was never fixed. The room wasn't extremely clean, but not bad (dust bunnies behind the chairs). I was expecting something plain for my money, but was still disappointed. On the other hand, the continental breakfast was good, and the staff were outgoing and friendly. Not a bad location, being close to I-77, and easy to get to from CLT on the Billy Graham Parkway.

My Charlotte Experience

Helpful desk, but room smelled awful.
Had to stay over because of weather related flight delays. Specifically requested a non-smoking room. Room reeked of cigarettes and who knows what else. Fortunately I was so exhausted that I managed to sleep. Front desk was helpful - gave me a toothbrush as my luggage was checked on another flight. Also told me to leave early for my flight next day because of all the holiday traffic and flight delays and cancellations. That was good advice.

Needs help
Hotel was in process of painting. Hallways smelled of cigarette smoke even though the signs on the door said no smoking... . Cleaning fumes from cleaning solution were strong in the rooms, and no ventilation. Had to catch a flight early and was awakened by the front dest at 11:00 p.m. wanting to know if we were in the room as the former desk clerk gave us another room. It too smelled of cleaning fumes... This was not to the standards of any Best Western that we have stayed in before.

I stayed in this hotel for 13 days, I will never ever stay in again, but I'll write the advantages and disadvantage : Disadvantages: * the pillows are so bad, you can't even sleep on * the AC turn on suddenly while you sleeping even if you turn off the AC * the worst thing they have is the internet, its so terrible and so slow Advantages: * Price * ATM machine inside the hotel * Free Breakfast

Clean, Easy to find, Friendly Staff
There for concert w/ friend. Easy Directions to location(2 blocks fron I77). 2 restuants right across street. One block from CVS and TJ Maxx(walked)NICE STAFF. Most important to me...CLEAN!!

Easy off and on I77. EXcellent Food across street. CVS 1 block up for forgotten nail polish and Sinus med. and great BONUS TJ Maxx for new earrings and SHOES!!!! right there(walked) Great quick stay for us

Unbeatable location for the price
Went to Charlotte for the CIAA tournament. The location was great. 1 mile from I-77, 5 miles from I-85, and few mile from Downtown.
