Adequate & affordable
Best thing I can say about the hotel is that it was affordable... Bathroom could have been cleaner - dirt in corners of bathroom, and not cleaned well on daily basis. Not even many channels on the TV. One bed was firm and the other was too soft having obviously been the one that most people slept on. The bedspreads looked like they were from the 1950's and were a bit creepy.

Awwwwfullll!!!!
I have stayed at this motel about four times now. It's safe and the location is good, convenient to UNC and I-40, but so's the Day's Inn across the road. EVERY room in this motel is a SMOKING room, don't be deceived. Twice I have been given rooms reeking horribly of smoke even though I have always booked a non-smoking room through [...]. This time the room even had ashtrays!! I was too tired to argue, but I have had it with this place. I am NEVER staying there again. If you're a smoker, you'll be in heaven. If not, BEWARE.

Just a hotel...
The hotel staff at the check-in/check-out counter was wonderful. However, the bed in our room was the equivalent of sleeping on concrete. The pillows on the bed were as thick as two t-shirts. There wasn't a hair dryer in the room. I didn't need it but it wasn't there for anyone that did need to use it. I would spend the extra $30 for a different place. The old saying holds true for this place that you pay for what you get.

Google said the hotel was north of I-40, but actually it is just south of I-40.

Good location for the NC triangle
The motel is an efficient, well-located property no far from gas stations and restaurants but wd be better with coffee pots in rooms and/or a continental breakfast.

You get what you pay for...
This hotel is just about as expected. Because it was the cheapest hotel around, we weren,t expecting much, and that's exactly what was delivered. Even so, I was still surprised that there was no iron nor ironing board in the room. When my husband asked at the front desk, they did have one (and only one for the entire hotel) iron that we could borrow, but still no ironing board. We were only given one towel and one small packet of shampoo, even though three of us checked in. However, upon requesting more, they were provided quickly. We also found that every night, all night long, you could hear the plumbing sounds from other rooms. Quiet, and then, whoosh... water rushing through the pipes. All in all, we weren't disappointed because our primary requirement was price, and this place was about $30 a night cheaper than the next cheapest hotel.

It was alright
The hotel was at a good location in terms of proximity to restaurants. The room had basic amenities even though I had to pay for Wi Fi. The bed gave me a back ache. But still a good/clean budget hotel. The front desk folks were awesome - they really are the face of this motel.
