It beats having nothing

I screamed as my driver pulled up but quickly pulled it together as I saw the sign at the entrance that states "Rates starting at 54.00" then reality sunk in and I remembered that I'm here for a few hours and what could I honestly expect for a 54 buck room? After entering the Ramada room it felt and looked more like a motel such as a Red Roof Inn or Motel Six .. It seemed clean but the room could use new carpeting and a fresher bedding style because the spreads look like they are outdated. Put down my bags left and checked out within 1 hour....need I say more?

Business Trip

The hotel was in a good location, close to the thruway and other attractions. The room was very disappointing, the floor was dirty and the towels had stains. There was nothing special about this hotel, will not be staying there ever again.

Great Price

Convenient location to interstate. Lots of places to eat within walking distance as well as driving distance. Only 1 ice machine was working which made it tough for getting ice, A/C not working in lobby or breakfast area, but considering it was in the high 90's all weekend we could deal with it. Room was clean and pool was an added plus.

HORRIBLE PLACE TO STAY!!!! KEEP AWAY!!!!

My boyfriend, myself & our 6 year old reserved our room through a travel discount website at the last minute. It quoted me $39, but I ended up having to pay $56. I'm aware that is not the fault of Ramada, but it smart to keep rates up to date with affiliating sites, because to do otherwise is very misleading. That was just the beginning of our problems. Upon arrival, we were given a room on the back side of the hotel, near the pool. Our room had been locked from the inside, and aside from that, we didn't even have any need for the key that was assigned to us because the door could just be pushed open at any time, without the need of a key. If the inside lock hadn't been latched, anyone could've pushed into our room at any moment in time. We were told that we would be given a different room. However, we ended up having to sit in the un-air conditioned lobby for close to an hour while waiting on housekeeping to get our new room ready. I was hoping that long wait meant that we'd have a nice, clean room ready for us. Boy, was I ever wrong! Once we were re-assigned rooms, we went in to find a condom on the bedside table, a used dip spit cup on a shelf, a used razor in the bathroom and no sheet on the bed...just a comforter, a bottom blanket & pillows. Just for the record, all 3 of us woke up the next morning with several little itchy red bumps, which I can only assume are bed bug bites. The phone in our room did not work & neither did 2 of the lights. That evening, we took our 6 year old down to the pool for a swim. It was filthy...the water was so foggy that you could barely see the bottom. But the other thing is that there was a very large group having a cookout INSIDE the pool area, complete with a grill & everything. They were loud, cussing, drinking liquor straight out of 1/2 gallon glass bottles, putting their cigarette butts out on the pool patio, etc. There were people walking in off the streets for this cookout. It got rather large, loud & rambunctious. We did not feel safe having our child in that environment. And the lobby desk is right inside the door that leads to the pool (which was open the entire time, due to the broken air conditioning in the lobby). The front desk attendant was completey ignorant to the events that were unfolding, and allowed to let it go on late into the night. They were breaking policies that were specifically stated as "wrong-doings" in the welcome folder that was in our room. I brought up some of these issues the following morning during check-out and was offered no apologies. I also called once I returned home to speak with the manager. I was told he wasn't in his office and that I would be given a call back, and I am still waiting on that call. I understand that the Ramada is not a 5-star hotel, and we are definitely not high maintenance people at all. But there are limits between being low maintenance and being completely neglectful and trashy. We were not pleased with our stay in the slightest. I also understand that this is just one Ramada location, but in dealing with the traveling public, it is expected for hotels to hire quality employees that are dedicated to following rules & regulations, and that are dedicated to providing excellent customer service to their patrons. Just the fact that I was offered no apologies for the staff's shortcomings was enough to turn me off of Ramada hotels for good. The staff of this particular Ramada was mediocre at best. I am never going to stay at any Ramada or affiliating hotel ever again, and am going to suggest the same to everyone that I know.

2 stars really mean 2 stars!!

Firstly, the air conditioning system in the lobby was out. So mgmt had their staff working in an uncomfortable and possibly dangerous environment. Also, the lobby and breakfast area is connected so that ruined continental breakfast. Then, I noticed my kids' room didn't have a shower curtain in their bathroom. I would've called down to the front desk but my telephone was broken in our room. We found out our toilet didn't flush properly either. I took our kids to the pool; which didn't smell like it had any chlorine in it at all. Our pool fun didn't last long due to a group of young people. They fired up the hotel grill, cooked up some food and started hanging out...ALL NIGHT. They were yelling, cursing, running around and blasting music right near our doors. We felt nervous due to being in an unfamiliar area. The final nail in the coffin was when I was showering and found an old, dirty, used washcloth hanging on the curtain rod. Which makes me wonder if they clean their rooms properly. Spend the extra twenty or thirty dollars and stay somewhere else!!

Somewhat Bad

Went to a concert. Booked a double room. Room was given away was put in 2 king bed rooms. Unable to spend good quality time with best friend. Went into rooms and neither rooms air conditioner was on each room felt like 100 degrees. Took over 3+ hours for rooms to cool down. Would not recommend to friends or family.

not worth it

My family and I traveled for a graduation. There was nothing great about the hotel except the vending machines. It was located close the convention center so I expected the room to be immaculate-HIGH DISSAPPOINTMENT. The room was awful (dirty dusty broken furniture and cigarette burns on tv).

Security Hallway doors have key-access only feature, but the door never shuts automatically behind you and the other guests usually don't shut it, so anyone can just walk in from the street(and the Waffle House) and be at your door![...] Even though not as nice as three other counterparts in the vicinity, it is surely cheaper.
