Had a great getaway weekend. This property has a fantastic location with scores of nearby restaurants, bars and nightclubs. Just blocks from museums and an easy walk to the concert hall and arts center.
This is a typical downtown motel with average amenities. We enjoyed the free internet and free garage parking with easy access to the elevators. If you are not expecting luxury, you'll be happy.

Holes in walls, only 1 trash can provided, toilet didn't flush properly, sink tap handle difficult to operate, shortaqe of towels and wash cloths, safety latch did not work (missing part of it). Room was basically clean (a plus for housekeeping). Easy to locate.

I was only in the room for a few hours, but for my purposes it was good enough. The shower was lacking, and the shower head was only face high and im not that tall. The staff was helpful and there if you needed them.

Long story short: My stay lasted for about 2 hours. I was graciously refunded after having to be saved by the heroic front desk clerk from a HUGE cockroach the size of a mans 10-sized big toe. The desk clerk gallantly defeated the monstrous fiend with a broom, but not without a battle, as it took many strikes to tame and defeat the assailant before sweeping the half dead pest out of the room.
For this the customer service is outstanding. However I will think twice before returning for another stay again. I now know why they leave the light on for us.

we were on vacation visiting family as some sites.... [...] bar tender was amazing.. friendly and offered up sugestions of where to go to site see and eat... and everynight at the bar, remembered our drinks.. Im sure it was due to the time of year and the weather - but the room beds/ floor always felt damp.... over all experience - would stay again....

This hotel was recently renovated. The lobby looks fantastic, the quality of the room was above and beyond my expectations given the price range, and it was very quiet. I have no doubt that this will be my hotel of choice every time I stay in Raleigh.

I wanted to get rest while I was there but I didn't get check in until 1115pm and I didn't get the room I paid for or requested. The floor I was on smelled pissy and I requested to stay two nights my room wasn't clean up.The first trips I took with you all smelled clean the whole time I was there and didn't have a problem getting to my room just two wait after booking.

Everything was booked. And they were all pricey. This hotel was moderately priced, close to the college graduation, fairly clean and although it needs a bit of remodeling, it wasn't bad and served the purpose. Must of had a parent of a graduate in the room above... sounded like they were turning cartwheels waay up into the morning. Noisy guests. I suggest taking the top floor if you need sleep.

We were staying to see family in the area just overnite, and were welcomed sincerely. The room was small, but comfortable. I am a stickler for clean rooms and this one was tops. Congrats to the housekeeping. Parking was easy access, Will stay again!!!!

Well, the room was clean and neat. The shower was amazing, I will replace all the shower heads in my home with the type they had in the room. The bath towels and washcloths were big, soft and very absorbable. The staff was friendly, BUT, let me tell you this, the bed was the worst bed I have ever slept on in my entire life. I'm not kidding you, I felt as if I slept on a pile of rocks the whole two nights I was there. My entire body was sore when I woke up. That's not good if you have to sit in a meeting the whole day. I have two more meetings in Raleigh this month and next month. I WILL NOT STAY AT THE BEST WESTERN EVER AGAIN. If you can't get a good nights sleep in the bed your in, your whole day will be MISSERABLE. AS I SAID, I WILL NOT STAY THERE AGAIN.

I have stayed at this hotel twice. Both times it was on the third floor and a different room. Both times Ihave been pleased with the swivel television stand, work desk and general cleanliness to rooms. I was impressed the last time I stayed because the room was directly across from the elevator.
I thought I was going to hear the elevator door constantly opening and people talking but I did not hear anything to intere with sleeping. Good value.

I was not expecting the room to be as big as it was, The kitchen was nice with a long table and the television was on a swivel so if you want to sit on the couch or lay on the bed you can turn to the television so you can see it. The bathroom was not extravagant but clean with good water pressure.
The view from the third floor was of the courtyard and the windows good be easily opened and closed to allow the room to air out. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

The heating / ac unit was loud but beause it was cold and I checked in late i decided to not complain because I was tired. My discomfort I guess was self inflicting because i could never go to sleep because of the noise from the unit. I prefer the Homestead Northeast Raleigh rather than this location. The price is caomparabble, location is similar but the amenities, room size and staff is without a doubt better.

Roomy but bare bones

Exceptionally good value. The hotel is well located and is very attractive on the outside. Staff was friendly and the unit had all the needed materials for both an extended stay. The rooms were larger than I had visioned. That said, there are no frills. Internet is an additional cost. Carpet is industrial and everything in the room looks like it was purchased from the low end of Sears.
It was exactly what I needed and I was very happy to have stayed there. But someone else with higher tastes might have been disapointed.

Stayed at the hotel while traveling to Raleigh for a hockey game. The location is great and easy to get to many different activities available in the area.
The room was fair, but nothing to get overly excited over. The pillows left something to be desired and A/C was not yet on (stayed in early March) even though it was warming up.

Wonderful people. We checked in and out without any hassle. Our rooms were adjoining and exceeded our expectations. The breakfast was great. LOTS of choices and a comfortable area to enjoy them. We will return.

The hotel had definitely had some improvements done since we stayed there several years ago. The beds and linens were really nice and they had added the breakfast also,I think.The room had a slightly musty,stale air-conditioning smell which didn't really go away,but that was my only complaint.Very convenient for visiting family in Knightdale,just East of Raleigh.

We choose different hotels in Raleigh to stay at when we visit family, but this hotel is a "never again" on our list. First off, it is no longer Windsor Inn Raleigh Crabtree, but America's Best Value Hotels by Vantage.
The bad: the hotel's second floor is actually the first floor (the first floor being a lower level on a hill). I mention that because we were booked on the third floor and discovered there is no elevator. So we lugged suitcases and all up a flight of stairs...great for bad backs. We requested a nonsmoking room which we got, but other rooms on the floor were smoking rooms, so we did smell cigarette smoke in the hallway, and even some in our room.
About the room: one reviewer wrote about dirty stained towels. I know what they were talking about. My one washcloth had what looked like tar on it and that wasn't the only dirty looking towel I had. The blanket looked like it hadn't been washed since I don't know when. The whole room just was not overly clean in appearance. There were not a lot of electrical outlets to plug in things like phone chargers, etc. The bath itself had no where to hold on to in case you were falling. It was hard to reach the sink because of the vanity design.
The hotel had free WiFi. One unsecured desk in the lobby. The EXIT sign on our floor was hanging down and apparently it was too much trouble to fix it. That was just indicative of the whole cleanliness attitude in the hotel.
The good: we had a microwave and minifrig in our room. The staff seemed helpful if you needed anything. The room did not cost much. Also, the hotel was near the Crabtree Mall. The Cheesecake Factory is located there and they have a variety of dinners available. The food is great and the prices are reasonable.

This Hotel is the perfect location for visitors to the Southeastern Seminary. The hot breakfast was awesome and no one in our group went hungry. The Staff was very polite and helpful. You will not be dissapointed with this choice.

[...] This old and rather bad area of Raleigh is not exactly a place that makes you feel really safe, but the description did say "constructed in 2009" on the[...] website. This is a huge lie. This property may have been under some renovation in 2009 but it is not even close to a new property, likely more than 10 years old. Carpets in the hallways are dirty...if I couldn't vacuum any better than that, I should not get paid for doing so. Some of the furniture in the room was dirty, rooms are small. This is truly a case where a cheaper booking gives you what you paid for....a CHEAP experience, not a VALUE experience. I won't stay here again.

Completely satisfactory and price-worthy. It is exactly in the center of the strike zone for the Super 8 experience.
Continental breakfast could be a little better. But clean rooms, fresh paint and very quiet, in an easy location.

Always a pleasant stay

This hotel has been our go to location for the last three years as we've visited our daughter who is attending NCSU.
Close to the U and downtown but in a quiet area. Staff is always friendly and helpful. The pool is small but a great retreat from hot humid weather.
Rooms are very clean though showing just a bit of wear. Hallways are quiet with just minor door thumps.
Breakfast is good, basic offerings served with a smile and free newspapers.
Ask for a room facing the back of the hotel for premium quiet.
We recommend this hotel to everyone!

Stayed the night there before the clapton show on 3/8/10. Excellent access to the arena. If I was in town to see a show I would defintely stay here. Only a 10 min walk to the front door of the RBC center.

Trying to find this hotel/motel is like trying to find a needle in a haystack. Small sign on the main road but the place was located behind several other businesses. Only one bar of soap and no shampoo in the bathroom. Beds very hard to sleep on.

THE HOTEL WAS CONVENIENTLY LOCATED ALTHOUGH THE ROOM WAS NOT CLEAN. IT WAS MISSING DRESSER DRAWERS LIGHT FIXTURES DIDNT WORK PROPERLY AND THE ROOM HAD A FOUL DISTINCT ODOR. NOW THE NICE PART WAS ONCE I BROUGHT THIS TO THE ATTENTION OF THE HOTEL MANAGER I WAS MOVED TO AN OUTSTANDING ROOM WITH ALL THE AMMENITIES. I'D RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE... AS LONG AS YOU DO A WALK THROUGH FIRST LOL

Really nice hotel. Well priced. Restaurant service too inexperienced and a little amateurish. That's the only negative I had. I'd stay there again, no reservations about it.
