Good in some ways, not so much in others

The hotel was convinent to where we needed to go, it was quiet and the staff was friendly, the maids were great, but the negative points listed above made this stay average at best

Shopping tip: Short walk from hotel

There was a big Wal Mart and some other shops right across the road from the hotel, also was a Wendys resturaunt right beside it. gas stations less than a mile from there, and great resturaunts right down the road.

The good, the bad and the really ugly

After we checked in, which was an easy process, I was unpacking and my 10 month old was crawling around, getting to know the place. It had been less than an hour and I happened to notice something on my daughters leg. I picked her up and her legs, from her knees to her toes and the inside of her hands were black! The floor was so dirty that in less than an hours time it had turned her knees, legs, toes and hands black! I couldn't believe it! I went to the managers desk and showed them. They sent a room service attendant who said the only thing she could do is vacuum the floor. She couldn't clean it because it would be wet and we couldn't be on it for 24 hours, she could offer me another room but she couldn't garuntee it would be any cleaner. Her last suggestion was to put sheets on the floor, in any space that carpet was showing and she would crawl. We had dinner reservations and didn't have time to pack up and move rooms that may or may not be any cleaner (we were in town visiting family). So I took the sheets for the night. The next morning I was waiting for me daughter to wake up, watching a little tv when I noticed a flea jump on my leg! I couldn't take anymore. I went to the manager and requested another room. The manager gave me another room with no problem, one that wasn't used as much, offered to help me move my things and brought me sheets when I requested, to put down in the new room...just incase. I had also left my cell charger in the first room and when I called down to the front desk they went through lost and found and brought several up to me room to see if any would fit until they could get back in my old room...they had already rented it out again to a couple with a dog. I now have flea bites on my legs from that room...I just hope I didn't bring them home with me.Although the staff was very nice and friendly, I won't stay at there or at another Days Inn again. There was no telling what was in the carpet to turn my baby black in less than an hour![...]

!!!Don't Stay Here!!!

Everything about this hotel stay was horrible! We were given a dirty room, switched to a smaller room that was still not really clean, and we barely were given an apology. Instead we were told they wouldn't be able to do anything for us because we didn't book directly with the hotel. There was hair all over the place: in the bed, on the walls in the bathroom, in the tub and around the toilet. There were dried up boogers stuck to the walls, the bathroom floor wasn't mopped; we saw spots of 'stuff' (bodily excrements) on the bathroom floor, marajuna seeds in the coffee maker, holes in the blankets, the microwave didn't work properly, and the tv picture was snowy. The second room we were switched to was a little cleaner, but when we told the manager to have his staff 'stay out', they were told to make sure they service the room. Well, they took the garbage and used towels out of the room, which was fine, but they didn't make the beds or give us new towels! The beds were horrible to sleep on too. We would have been more comfortable on the floor! We even saw old mattresses outside next to the dumpster. The bed made tons of noise whenever we even slightly moved. The fridge kept our food either semi cold, or froze it, and the freezer didn't work at all. We couldn't lock the deadbolt on the door. The toilet paper might as well have been loose leaf paper! The towels were even crunchy. I think this was the worst experience I have ever had in a hotel. I strongly suggest that anyone pay out the extra $10 a night to stay at LaQuinta, or even pay extra for the Hampton Inn that is right down the road!

Crabtree Valley Mall isn't far away, and neither is Briar Creek. Both areas have many greatrestraunts and fast food selections. Our favorite was P.F. Changs on the Crabtree Valley Mall. It is the best sit down Chinese restaurant we have ever been to.

Great location near everything you need.

All I needed for an overnight stay for next day early morning business meeting. Free internet was a must and had no problems making connection and remainiong connected. Many resturants nearby and a nice Golfsmith store nearby.

Very nice for price

The room was spotlessly clean except for the comforter. I'm picky about those anyway, so always toss them off the bed - but this one need to be cleaned or replaced. However, the rest of the room, bathroom, sheets were spotless. Room smelled fresh as well. While the traffic was a bit loud, the good thing was it was a constant *whoosh* sound, which actually acted like white noise and didn't interrupt sleep. For the price and location, I don't think you could get better.
