Below average for value
Front desk at check in was short staffed, however, staff member was polite. There was no hostess to seat me for dinner, restaurant was empty. The wine selection was dismal, upon deciding on a selection there was none available, had to settle on fourth best out of a selection of 5. The salad was pathetic, a few pieces of iceberg lettuce with some shaved carrots. The main meal was steak, quite good, however, i was presented the bill before my first bite. Staff was pleasant but needed training.

I was at the hotel for a conference - 5 nights. This would not be my choice for a leisure visit for that many nights, but it was quiet and relatively clean. It is not by any means a new glossy hotel. I arrived and checked out after midnight and the guy at the desk is wonderful. He seems like he can handle anything at that hour. The room was large, faced the parking lot. Nothing special. Could be cleaner, but nothing you can't do yourself. It is right off the interstate and I did not have a car, so not able to really go anywhere except by taxi. Nowhere to go really anyway. The restaurant is servicable. The food is actually pretty good and not too salty or fatty if you choose the right things. The menu is limited but covers the basics. No elevator so if you get a second floor room, you need to be able to carry your luggage up a flight of stairs and the room I stayed in was quite a distance from the main entrance. I needed peace and quiet to absorb the information being presented at the conference and I got that without any temptations or distractions, so it was good for that purpose. If you swim, the pool looked nice.

They do have fridge and microwave in rooms so you can bring snacks since there is nowhere to get snacks after hours except vending machines.

My review of Best Western Doublewood Inn
We had a good experience at this hotel the first two nights of our stay. However, on the third night, the hotel was hosting several Christmas parties and there was a serious problem with noise and disorderly conduct into the wee hours of the morning. No action was taken by hotel employees.

My review of Best Western Doublewood Inn
The hotel was great and had everything I needed for this trip. Only problem was the left turn into the hotel, very busy intersection, just took a little time waiting.
