Fine place for a few nights in Fargo

Newer hotel, got placed in a disabled-friendly room with walk-in shower, no tub. No problem. Room very modern, nice tv, microwave, fridge, in-room wireless internet, very comfortable bed. Free breakfast ok, the usual items. Good location for travelers, just off I94, close to I29. Afternoon happy hour very nice, free beer and wine and appetizers. One minor negative, howling wind at night sounded like it was blowing down the hall! Not a big deal. Would stay again.

Great place

We stayed at La Quinta for my son's college orientation. We were pleasantly surprise with the hotel. The staff was friendly and the place was spotless, great price for what you get. The hotel offers a breakfast that caters to all from children to people on a diet. The pool was clean and the hotel was close to restaurants, the mall, and the highway. My husband travels a lot and he is very picky about hotels, but he was very please with this one. Ah! you get free internet.

Great New Hotel + A Note for Dog Owners

Pretty much everything about our stay at the new La Quinta in Fargo was better than we expected. The bed was huge and incredibly comfortable. The room had a nice big TV with a dvd player, as well as a fridge and microwave. The fitness room included all new equipment. The pool and hot tub looked nice (thought we didn't use them). The breakfast was standard continental-with-waffle-maker, but also included hot breakfast burritos (I think they cycle through different hot food options throughout the week). I don't have any complaints, but I was a little nervous about one thing: their website said pets are welcome, but when we booked [...], I didn't see any place to mention we were bringing our dog. Upon check-in, the staff was happy to accommodate us, but if it had been a busier night, I think we would have been in trouble. Pets are allowed only on the first two floors, and the room they had set aside for us was not one that allowed pets. Also, the pet policy I signed at check-in said that only dogs up to 30 pounds are allowed, and I hadn't noticed that restriction anywhere on their website. I don't think they enforce it too strictly - we saw one large dog in the halls, in addition to a couple little ones - but it was clearly written into the policy, so I'd call and check with them directly before booking if you have large dogs. I have to add that our dog whined less and seemed to enjoy herself more in this hotel room than in any others we've stayed. I think it was the big comfy bed. We'll definitely stay there again next time we're in Fargo, though we will call before we get there to let them know we have a dog with us.

Dog owners: there's a dog park just up the road from this hotel, at 45th St S and 9th Ave SW, and a Petco a few blocks away from that at 43rd St S and 13th Ave SW. Both are about 15 blocks from the hotel.

Very nice, very friendly hotel

The nicest hotel staff I have ever met. I didn't even meet many of them, just overheard them interact with other patrons. The hotel was very clean, the evening and morning meals/snacks were very good and well supplied. I won't stay anywhere else next time I go to Fargo.

Would stay here again

I stayed at the hotel for 2 nights on business. The staff was very friendly, the hotel is new and clean, the beds and linens were very nice and comfortable. I enjoyed the breakfast items, I did not use the pool or the fitness equipment. I could hear some noise from a neighboring room the second night, but nothing that kept me awake. Overall the hotel was very quiet. I noticed that many cars in the lot outside had plugged in their block heaters/tank heaters. A nice benefit in the cold Fargo winter. I would recommend this hotel to others.

Dog and people freindly

We enjoyed our stay here very much. The property was well maintained and the rooms were very clean. The continental breakfast was varied and very good. Every evening the manager had a lite dinner Mon. through Thurs. which was different every night at no charge. The property is located close to shopping and dining, but far enough away to be very quiet. We would stay here again and recommend this hotel to anyone. Kudos to the friendly and helpful staff.

"Great Two Day Stay"

We were in town for a wedding and found the hotel location to be easy to get to and ample choices for dining and shopping close by. We drove into the busy down town for the wedding and reception and were glad to be in a less hectic area after the busy celebration. The beds were comfortable and had great house keeping to restock the towels. The Continental breakfast was very good and had so many choices. We even had a phone call from the front desk to ask if we found everything to our satisfaction. We were pleased with everything during our stay. Thank you!! Carol Roley, Elk River, MN

La Quinta Inn & Suites - Fargo, ND

The hotel appeared new; was very clean and comfortable. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. My only regret was that it was not more centrally located to downtown Fargo. Nice bed and TV in room. For those too tired to venture outside to eat, Hotel does offer complimentary dinner (in this instance, hot dogs and chips, beer/wine).
