We arrived at the hotel at 10pm with a vomiting child and a mess in the car seat. The front desk brought us extra towels and bedding and thoughtfully complimentary crackers and juice. They helped me get the car seat cleaned supplying tools to take it apart and a sink area in back to spray it off and towels to dry it off...at midnight!
A few days later they opened a conference room for us to enjoy a pizza party with extended family.
The room was neat, the beds and bedding very comfortable. We were directly across from the pool on the main floor, but never heard any noise from any other guests our entire stay.
Some room wear noted in the bathroom, but didn't affect our stay: granite counter seams separating, tub faucet a little loose with sticky shower activation knob, poor grouting job.
Breakfast was NOT included in the price of the room. Quality of food was average for the cold breakfast bar and somewhat above average for the hot breakfast order.
Convenient location for UND, I-29 access, water park, and an easy drive to Altru Hospital.
I would definitely stay there again.

It was a one night stop while travelling across the country ... this was the second time we stopped at this hotel. The beds are wonderful and the work desk with internet connection is great. Unfortunately this time we faced the parking lot ... which means hearing the train whistles all night.

Our Pool and Pool Area will be closed from October 31st thru November 10th for Renovations.
The Ramada Grand Forks is conveniently located off I-29 at exit 141. Our hotel is just down the street from the University of North Dakota.
We are perfectly located in Grand Forks to all area attractions. We are less than one mile from the Alerus Center, Engelstad Arena and the University of North Dakota. Many other attractions nearby include Grand Forks Air Force Base, Columbia Mall, Cabelas Sporting Goods, Empire Arts Theatre and Kings Walk Golf Course.

The hotel is stuck in the late 80's/early 90's with its furnishings. From the lobby and 'restaurant' decor to the room it self. The hotel is average size, enough spaces for kids to sneak away in.
The room was average size as well. Four of us shared a room (two couples) and the only complaint was the beds weren't up to par. Both beds sagged in the middle and the sheets/comforter was less than to be desired. The room AC unit was loud and clunky. Had to manually control it in a awkward position with little lighting.
We paid $90 a night for this Sioux hockey weekend. Overall I guess it wasn't a horrible stay. Lots of kids running around during the day. Just an very average at best hotel for the city.

old and smokey hotel. If you need a place to sleep at night, go here. If you want a place to hang out in the pool and are going to be in the hotel a lot, try somewhere else.

The so called water park was discusting. The rock floor was falling apart and moldy and the pool area had an foul smell. Our room door did not lock behind us, unless you giggled it. The shower never got hot, only luke warm. Finally the cleaning staff stood outside our door complaining about one another and management for at least 15 minutes. I will never stay there again.

Was a great stay, pools were just the right temp. Rooms were clean and good size, breakfast was very good lots of selection. Staff friendly and helpful. location was the best part, a bit tucked away but still close to everything. Enjoyable and relaxing.

Hotel was just OK. Staff not welcoming - barely looked up at us during check-in or check-out. Room was clean. Ample bathroom counter space. Great location just off of Hwy.29 and close to UND campus and Ralph Englestad Arena. Touts continental breakfast - not much.

If you're just looking for somewhere to stay and not spend a lot, this is fine. It's what you expect - not top notch anything, but I also didn't pay much so no real complaints. Also, saying continental breakfast is a bit of an overstatement. Nice to have a pre-breakfast snack available however.

This is the third time I've stayed here and I have had a pleasant stay each time. This time however, the front desk person upon arrival was not the friendliest that I've had nor did she greet with me with a hello. The remainder of the stay made up for the initial greeting as I would stay here again based on everything else.

Grand Forks is not that big, so in my opinion, any hotel is a good location. Our room smelled a bit funky, and was very small in comparison to every other hotel we have ever stayed at in Grand Forks. On a Manitoba long weekend, there were no other rooms available, other than those with HORRIBLE reviews. We simply used the room to sleep in and enjoyed the breakfast in the morning. Brought our own playpen (thankfully) as there were none available as well as no extra pillows. Busy weekend in GF!! Room was pretty clean, but TV from the 70's. Small pool, which we didn't use as it was FULL of kids and birthday parties. In a pinch... a clean place to sleep and a hearty breakfast! What more can you ask for???

let me start out by saying the people who worked at the hotel were really nice. the hotel is in dire need of TLC. the shower head in my room was to the point where is was falling off. the towels were so rough i thought i was losing layers of skin when i was drying off. there was never any pool towels, had to constantly ask for some. the pillows on the bed were so flat and the beds were uncomfortable. its a nice place if you are a construction worker or in town to party and need a place to crash, but not a very good place to take a family for the weekend.

Liked the layout of the room. The room had a minimalist style. The bathroom was 2 separate rooms. One had the shower and the other room was the toilet. Liked that aspect except for there is no locks on those doors. Felt awkward with no locks even when I was staying there with family. Bed was so comfortable. Great layout of the room. Living area along with a sleeping area. Walk in closet. Have never seen that in any room I have stayed in. Fast internet service. Basic breakfast food. Only negative I have is the fire alarms went off at 4 am. No fire thank goodness but was not told what the problem was. Would have been nice if they could have told us what set off the alarms. Made for a light sleep the next night.

We stayed at the Day's Inn, before catching a flight out of Grand Forks. Only one thing would have made our stay better. If we could have left our truck at the hotel, we would be staying there on our return also.

First time we stayed at the Comfort Inn. We go to Grand Forks two or three times a year and stayed in a variety of hotels. This one was by far the NOISIEST of any we have ever been at. We were on the main floor and there must have been a cheerleading team staying above us because at about 6:30 in the morning they were jumping around and we could hear yelling, like cheering. We noticed a bunch of teenagers and busses, so there were obviously games going on. Another thing is we felt the hotel was a little overpriced for what they offered. Breakfast was good, location was good, but the TV was old compared to other hotels.

The room was clean, but had the odor of stale cigarette smoke even though the hotel claimed to be completely smoke free. Apparently they had been painting the outside of the hotel, and our window had been covered with a plastic film, so we could not see out. Also, our cable went out the first night we were there. It was late so I waited until morning to inform the front desk. They said they would take care of it, but when we returned at about dinner time, it still had not been fixed. They did get it fixed before we returned that night. The front desk was friendly and they did have a computer in the lobby that helped with getting some local directions.

I traveled to attend a reunion. I chose this hotel because it was close by and less expensive than the reunion recommended hotel.
Everything that I needed or wanted was close by and easy to get to.
Compared to other hotels, I was well satisfied for the money I spent. The bed was comfortable, the towels were plush and the house keeping staff was very attentive. The hotel offered a continental breakfast that was very nice. Will stay there again when I go to Grand forks, North Dakota

The room was clean and nicely updated. Needs some caulk in the tub (around the soap dish, where tile meets tub here and there) otherwise very nice. The breakfast included was great - lots of choices esp. for gluten free. A bit pricey for 1 night $149.97 incl tax. Beds were comfortable.

Everything was perfect. I was on a business trip and the hotel was excellent!

Definitely a Destination

Free shuttle from the hotel took about 15 minutes to reach the airport, so call ahead to have them meet your arriving flight at Grand Fork Airport.
Rapid and courteous check in. Comfortable rooms with good free wireless throughout. Several bars and restaurants on premises with Conference center and Sports Arena adjoining.
An unexpectedly pleasant experience.

All the hotel staff was friendly and helpful. While dining alone, my waiter brought me a couple of magazines to look at if I was interested. The front desk people were willing to look up a business on the internet and printe directions to such.
The only thing I didn't care for were the thin and small bath towels.

We are only minutes from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks International Airport, Altru Hospital, River City Speedway, Englestad Arena, and Alerus Events Center. Turtle River State Park offers outdoor activities for everyone. The Budget Inn Express Grand Forks is located in Grand Forks, ND with easy access to I 29.

An Okay place to stay

The rooms were fine, since it was only two people staying in the hotel at the time. Beds werent that great at all, woke up with a backache. Beds werent made very good either. Location was good, right off the main drag.

It was 90 degrees out .. no air in the room, and windows do not open. EXTREMELY stuffy so we had to go out and buy a fan (that we did not need at home)
VERY smokey smelling and we asked for a smoke free room. The shower was awful.. we could not control the temp of the water. The "vanity" was rotted out and smelled old and musty.
The bed was comfy and clean.. VERY important!!

Enjoyed the 2-night stay. We enjoyed the hot-tubs. Very close to the mall and to other stores and to a good variety of restaurants. I would reserve this hotel again.

Water was very hard and left a dry skin feeling after shower. 3rd floor was very quiet and no problems with noise. Room had a funny smell like old aftershave. Pretty clean and the beds were comfortable. Nice selection of eating places nearby. Staff was friendly and very helpful. They called up to my room to let me know that I had left my lights on after parking. I would have liked to see an adults only hour of pool usage from 10 pm to 11 pm . Room prices were reasonable.

The room was average, but clean. It smelled like the pool and was very noisy. The staff was nice, but their shirts had holes in them and dirt spots. The complimentary breakfast was bare bones. I have stayed at nicer places for the same amount of money.

We were lucky to get a room at this location. Turns out they had been overbooked by 6 rooms. Lucky they had some cancellations! We didn't get the room we wanted, but it was very clean. Room was noisy: could hear people in the bathroom in the other room, out in the halls, etc.
