Charming hotel
Was in town for the Lewis & Clark annual convention. Hotel old, but updated with a nice charm with some luxury amenities. Convenient to old market area. Great hot breakfast. On my last day there, they even had sweet potato pancakes. Would have liked a selection of pastries/donuts. Nice flat screen HD TV. Would have liked a fridge in the room. Very clean.Even tho I had to pay for parking, I could have in and out priviledges, and my car was available to get things out of it that I forgot to take to my room.

Magnolia Hotel needs bathroom doors
I loved this hotel except for its bathroom arrangements---it uses a sliding door which leaves a wide gap...no real privacy--I told hotel clerk about it and she admitted that they get a lot of negative feedback about it---but, overall, this is a great hotel if you are traveling alone

Serene getaway!
The experience was very genuine. We loved the service and the employees who helped assist us via valet and front desk. The complementary services were above and beyond. It helped make our 'getaway' more enjoyable and something to look forward to.

Great Service
We had an adult weekend and without our kids. The rooms were very spacious and modern. The costumer service level was very accomidting from the vallet to the bartenders for the complimentary drinks. If you prefer firm mattresses and no swimming pool. This is the hotel for you. I would stay there again and recommend it for the location of being downtown.

Unbeatable location for the price
The hotel is walking distance of the Old Market area. Some hotels, I feel, pressure a guest to take advantage of the valet parking. Valet parking was offered but I didn't feel pressured at the Magnolia. The help was great and the room clean.

Great one to try
Great hotel, great service, great happy hour. Breakfast was a little less than we expected and the room was a little small, but the character of the property made up for it.

Old, but Gorgeous
We spent three nights at the Magnolia and enjoyed it very much. The rooms are nicely appointed and well equipped. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was stocked with all the essentials and had been very nicely brought up to date including a large vessel sink that my wife loved. We spent most of our time chasing the train heritage in and around Omaha and Council Bluffs. Fast and efficient valet parking service was very reasonable and made our in and outs very easy. We would definitely use the hotel again. That said, our one disappointment was the lack of suitable dining room. We had to eat in the bar and on Friday night the noise level was too high to enjoy the dining experience. The food was very good, but hard to enjoy with all the racket.

The UP Historical Society Museum in Council Bluffs is a great visit for a train buff. The former Omaha Union Station has also been converted to a museum and is well worth the visit.

Great staff, very helpful. Easy to use Van Service. Well equipped Business Center. Walking distance to Old Market for shopping and dining. Limited but excellent menu for meals. Free breakfast, but you have to find it.
