The hotel was nice, for what we wanted - just a place to stay close to skiing. We got the room half price, so it really was a great deal. It's a pretty standard hotel room, pretty roomy, but you could tell it's not brand new. It was very close to the town center and skiing, though, and staff was very friendly.

Description
The Snowy Owl Inn is considered one of the finest country inns in New England. Set in the heart of Waterville Valley and the White Mountain National Forest, our all-season 82-room Inn offers a relaxing vacation and a great family getaway. It is also the perfect place for business meetings, seminars or conferences, and the picture-perfect setting for a Snowy wedding. There is plenty to do in the Valley, and the Snowy Owl Inn is the center for everything. In winter enjoy downhill and cross-country skiing as well as snowboarding and ice skating. In summer, hike the mountains, play a round of golf, mountain bike, go boating, or take a chairlift ride. After a busy day of activities, meet friends in our spacious lobby atrium, with its natural wood and three-story fieldstone fireplace. Take a quick dip in our indoor heated pool, or retire to your tastefully decorated room, many with wet bars and Jacuzzis. At the Snowy Owl, enjoy a range of adventures as wide as our valley. Minimum age required at check-in is 21. Please note that there is a 15 percent Resort Amenity Fee. Room rates are based on double occupancy - except for the Loft, which is based on four-person occupancy - and there is a USD 15.00 nightly additional per person fee, which applies to guests 12 and older and is subject to local taxes and the Resort Amenity Fee. There is also a daily pet fee of USD 15.00 plus taxes per pet - dogs only - if bringing a pet. Maximum of two pets per room. All applicable fees will be collected at check-in. Check-in is at 4 pm. great location for skiing Watervile. Continental breakfast could have been a little more of an assortment. Staff was very informative and gracious. Facilities are starting to be dated but served our purposes fine.

Staff could have been friendlier and the "wine and cheese" hour seemed suspiciously like the grape juice and cheese hour. Rooms were decent, and morning coffee and muffins were spot on.
