Description
Unprecedented in craftsmanship and opulence, Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort is an awe-inspiring architectural masterpiece. Covering 17 acres of prime Boardwalk real estate, with 4.2 million square feet of enclosed space, Trump Taj Mahal is one of the largest casinos in the world. If laid end to end, the building support pilings would stretch the 62 miles from Atlantic City to Philadelphia! The richness of this resort is evident at every turn, from the seven 2-ton elephants carved in stone that greet arriving guests, to the Carrera marble that adorns the hotel's lobby, guest rooms, casino, hallways and public areas, to the 70 minarets that adorn the roof top, and the $14 million worth of German crystal chandeliers. With panoramic ocean views and spectacular sunsets, the Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort is an Atlantic City oasis. With 1,250 deluxe guest rooms and suites in the Taj Tower as well as the top level Royal and Penthouse Suites, each complete with individual spas and butler service and access to the private bi-level Chairman's Club, Trump Taj Mahal epitomizes the true meaning of luxury. Additionally, The Chairman Tower at Trump Taj Mahal opened in Fall of 2008 and features 782 guest rooms, including 74 suites eight of which are at the Penthouse level and offer full-scale luxury. These suites boast the same striking style, plush amenities and impeccable service for which Taj Tower's legendary Penthouse Suites are so revered. All Trump Taj Mahal guest rooms offer pillow-top mattresses and luxury bedding with state-of-the art flat screen televisions, high speed internet access, coffee stations, safes, irons and ironing boards, hair dryers, makeup mirrors, on-demand movies, games and digital music and other amenities to make your stay comfortable and memorable. The Chairman Tower is connected to the original tower via the Spice Road level. Guests can check in at the existing front desk and proceed to the second level to access The Chairman Tower at Trump Taj Mahal. Guests will enjoy a luxurious residential experience during their stay at The Chairman Tower a rare and pleasing feeling for any traveler. Larger rooms with higher ceilings and modern bathrooms include double sinks recessed into Brazilian granite counter tops, oversized walk-in showers with water closets in a separate room, and other amenities. Each room is equipped with a 50" high-definition plasma TV, an iPod docking station, wireless Internet access and more. The Chairman Tower suites have a living room and dining area, with a separate bedroom and private bath. They range from 950 to 1,140 square feet and feature floor to ceiling windows for spectacular views of the ocean. Each suite also offers a powder room just off the living room area, as well as a wet bar. Eight suites top off The Chairman Tower. The overall design of the rooms and suites can be described as streamlined and contemporary, with a rich Asian flair and warm color palette. A newly-renovated Fitness Center with a near Olympic-size indoor pool will cater to your well being and recreation. The spa also offers Jacuzzis, steam baths, tanning booths and sundecks for relaxing. When you play at the Taj Mahal, you will feel the heat of the action in the over 161,000 square feet of gaming space. When you step onto our casino floor, you're greeted with over 4,000 slot machines to choose from, so you are sure to find your favorite. If you want to be part of the table game action, pull up a seat at one of our 210 table games. Additionally, we boast an exquisite High Limit Gaming Salon, a chic Asian gaming salon, one of the city's largest Poker Rooms, home to the United States Poker Championship. Roll-away cots and cribs are available in-room for a $25 charge.

Good experience

  • Weekend getaway2012
  • 14 May 2012
We had a standard room with a king size bed and the room was quite large and comfortable. In the standard room you get hair dryer, safe, coffee machine, soap, shampoo, moisturizer. We adjusted the thermostat and it seemed fine. We asked for an extra blanket and got one immediately. The view was amazing - you could see the ocean and all the other hotels on the strip. We were on the 36th floor - one of the non smoking floors.

hotel was nice and clean, our room had no air conditioning. we went to front desk and they changed our room to another room, this room was by where they bring out the room service and other services so it was extremely noisey at night with all the carts rattleing. we also had people charge things to our rooms that we didn't charge and had a hard time having them removed.

Good Deal for College Students on Wednesdays

  • Rutgers Scarlet Knight
  • 19 May 2012
Like the title says, if you're a college student and strapped for cash, then Wednesday nights at Harrahs is the venue for you. The rooms are priced a bit cheaper and you can find oppurtunities through promoters to access Harrah's club- "Pool After Dark," for free. It seems that Harrah's is the place for a younger demographic, so you'll fit right in. But keep in mind, that these nights typically do tend to get a bit rowdy.

Great mid week get away

  • Harry M
  • 19 May 2012
We arrived in A/C about 11:30 am and spent several hours on the boardwalk, prior to checking in to the hotel. We self parked our car at Harra"s around 3:300pm and checked in to the hotel. It was a breeze, the desk personal were friendly and informative. Our room was large and clean with two beds and a great view of the marshes loaded with people fishing in small boats. upon leaving our room we took a long walk around the river walk and then through the hotel. Dinner was in the Mexican restaurant. The meal was very good and plentiful. Had break-feast the next morning at Sammy D's and left the hotel around 11:30am all refreshed and ready to face the world

Weekend getaway for couple

  • Sita
  • 16 Apr 2012
Although we only stayed one nite, we were fine with our stay at the hotel. It is very busy on the weekend it would seem but the hotel staff were fine and the room was clean. The bed was very comfortable and had a nice comforter. The valet parking was busy but they were polite. Only downside was no coffee maker in the room and usual check-out was 11 am but thanks to orbtiz listing it as noon, we got until then.

Wish they did not have a valet parking only option and a 5$-10$ surprise fee like Harrah's (ment). We parked the car right here for board walk, and tropicana (Nanking restaurant for the asians or the Rainforest junk) ending with a decent P F Changs are all at walkable distance.

I came to this hotel right after I had the knee surgery. Everybody were lovely there. The room was good but not everything I needed was there like iron for example or the remote control didn't work. I enjoyed the buffet and the atmosphere. I do recommend to stay there because it is my expensive and great things you can do there like playing casino or sitting on a bar.

It took over 1 hour to check in, with a Van Halen concert that night you would think Trump would have more people working. Only 4 windows open for check in. At the Liquid Bar, only 3 bartenders with about 100 people trying to get drinks with March Madness and a concert right next door. Uncle Donald really dropped the ball, I won't be back again.

The only downside is you have to wash your own glasses if you use them, but we actually had a full stock of dish ware which was nice. The hotel was great. Plenty of room, nice service, just a 5 to 10 minutes away from Harrahs. They had a limo service which allowed us to ride in style for just 5 bucks a person. Clean, not much of a lobby but the tv was nice. Overall 4 stars and great reasonable affordable price. GREAT VIEW in the balcony. Much better than what I expected.

Hotel dissappointment

  • Oh MaMa Mia
  • 13 May 2012
Even though the 2 double beds & smoking were confirmed beforehand 2 times, neither were available upon check-in. We ended up taking a king with rollaway since we were 3 adults & was told that the 1st choice would be available the next day after 1pm. Housekeeping obviously did not move the sofa before our arrival because there were numerous small trash items under it. Housekeeping also had not removed a used facecloth that was draped over the top of the shower curtain. Not sure why, but there weren't any writing paper or pens in the room. We have stood at this hotel before & if we come back to AC, we probably will stay here again to see if anything changes for the better, since everyone has bad days. Besides this hotel is on the boardwalk in the middle of everything that we look forward to: the beach, junk food eateries, shopping.

Free Drink Coupons = Nasty Rude Bartenders

  • 6good9
  • 27 Feb 2012
Everything was par at Ballys with the exception of the bartender at the "house" bar. It was probably a result of him not being tipped on the free drink coupons, however, I bore the brunt of his displeasure.

You get what you pay for. There's nothing special for a balcony on the Annex side. The room was nicely decorated however could have been cleaner. For someone who has allergies- DUST is not our best friend! The bathroom was clean but could use a lot of updating. The room was very humid and the air conditioner could not work fast nor hard enough to get rid of the dampness in the room. Fortunately we were only staying for one night. Please put in a dehumidifier for each room.

This was a quaint little hotel with a European feel. Adaquate accomodations throughout. We took an upgrade with a balcony view of Pacific Ave. This hotel was quiet and very conveniently located right off the boardwalk. The hallways were dimly lit, probably to mask the debris all over the floors, however the room was clean. Overall,a decent place to stay at an affordable price.

We booked too late to get a good price at the boardwalk hotels so we found this place. It was easy to find and had no problems our entire stay. The neighborhood changes quickly from tourist friendly to more urban in a matter of seconds. Regardless we felt safe walking at night. Such great location to the boardwalk and outlet shopping. Overall a great stay especially for college kids like me.

You get what you pay for. And for what it cost for the one night, all and all, it was pretty good. It was still a little more than I would've liked to pay for an establishment of it's calibre, but it was over the weekend, and close to some decent casino's. I'd recommend it to a friend on a budget. Besides, you only really sleep there. However, the continental breakfast that was included left a LOT to be desired.

Nice place to stay, minor snags

  • 19 May 2011
Very nice and relaxing pool area. Don't bring a cooler with you because they will make you check it downstairs. Also make sure to check your bill upon check-out. There was a mini-bar charge even though we never opened it; the staff removed the charge very easily though. Make sure you put all of your friends names on the room when you check in just in case their key deactivates and need to get a new one.

The Water Club

  • Rich
  • 10 Jul 2010
My wife and I stayed at the Water Club in July 2010. We enjoyed our stay. The room was very neat and first class. The bathroom was very clean. The bed, however, felt like it was not level. My head felt lower than my feet! The hotel staff was adequate but inconsistent. Upon check-in, we were told that we had to wear arm braclets ( handed to us at check in) to swim in the pool on the 32nd floor. When we entered the pool room, we were told that there was a $35 charge to swim in pool. The hotel desk clerk should have told us that. Otherwise, very nice hotel.

horrible*dangerous*do NOT go here!!!

  • joshthecoopman
  • 3 Jan 2011
BE WARNED: This motel's convenient location and low price makes it not only convenient to you but also to anyone looking for a private location to carry out any number of illegal drug negotiations or take part in other profoundly--shall we say--unbiblical activities. With luck, they will be in the room next to you. Last week, on a night where only three rooms were occupied in the whole motel (by three separate parties), our nightmare began when the clerk ensured that the rooms were adjacent to each other (which always irritates me). I decided not to complain about this however because the language barrier between myself and the clerk had nearly made it impossible to make the original transaction, and I was too tired to go back in to make this finer point. The room was small as expected but made extra dark because the wall mounted lights were broken off and dangling from their sockets. By removing the lampshades from the two inoperable lamps and placing them on top of the shade of the one working lamp, it was possible to mute the light enough not to burn your eyes from the 150 watt bulb brought in presumably to compensate for the lack of light elsewhere in the room. The occupants of the room next door made their presence felt immediately with a welcoming expletive rich barrage of violent obscenities accompanied by the sound of what I took to be a human skull being slammed against one of the walls. So we stepped out and walked over to the conveniently close casinos, as we had intended to do, hoping that our neighbors by the time we got back would either have settled their differences, passed out in a drug and alcohol-induced group coma, or been hauled away in a combination of police cars and body bags. No such luck. Several hours having passed and now being after midnight, they were still going at it. As long as our heater had been blasting on "high" and our TV was blaring it was possible for moments at a time to imagine we weren't in a fleabag dirt-hole motel in the slimy rear-crack of Atlantic City, but when the TV was turned off and the heat was lowered for sleeping, it became impossible to forget. A woman had arrived and the noise from the room next door had escalated into a series of plaster-cracking thuds on the shared wall accompanied by a colorful verbal exchange involving the words "Payback" "word for female dog" and, most notably, "Kill". At around 3:30AM (when the arrival bullets through the wall seemed a real possibility), I returned to the office and complained to the 16 year old desk clerk who had no idea what to do. He called the room in question and the occupants stopped beating one another's heads against the wall long enough to answer the phone and say everything was "cool". I suggested that he call 911 but judging by the sound of the constant sirens screaming past at high speed all night, the nightly call from the Rodeway would be a low priority. Angry, I checked us out before 4AM having only spent less than three hours in our room. No refund, no meaningful apology. We took refuge in the Denny's in Absecon—the town we should have stayed at in the first place—and waited out the sunrise. $45—one dollar per minute of sleep in this awful dump is not a good value now matter how cheap or tempting it may seem. Take your chances if you like but please promise me that you will NEVER take children to this place.

Room clean and staff very accommodating. Actually showed me two rooms and allowed me to pick the one I wanted. Let us check-in early. Allowed me to keep my car on their property after checking out for several hours without cost. Only charged me $10 for the second car for overnight stay and after checkout for several hours. Next time would ask for room on second floor, as first floor was busy.

It's what you'd expect in A.C.

People shouldn't 't stay here expecting a 5 star hotel. If you're looking for that, go pay the 200 or 300+ dollars for a room at one the casinos. It's close to several casinos, save for Harrah's and the Borgota, I had no issues with the cleanliness - it was fine. Really nothing wrong with it, it's just not going to be what you would get if you stayed at a casino.

The hotel was clean. It was somewhere to sleep and then get up and enjoy the board walk and the casinos.

Was a great place to crash at the end of a day of playing WSOP tournaments, convenient location, half a block from the boardwalk.

The hotel is in a perfect location. Never saw any staff other than the front desk. I was a bit worried about leaving my vehicle in the lot as there were only 4 cars there and alot of light to see what is in the vehicle. Comfortable bed. Nice tv. So happy for a room with refrigerator! Nice one night stay!
