The richness of this resort is evident at every turn, from the seven 2-ton elephants carved in stone that greet arriving guests, to the Carrera marble that adorns the hotel's lobby, guest rooms, casino, hallways and public areas, to the 70 minarets that adorn the roof top, and the $14 million worth of German crystal chandeliers.
With panoramic ocean views and spectacular sunsets, the Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort is an Atlantic City oasis. With 1,250 deluxe guest rooms and suites in the Taj Tower as well as the top level Royal and Penthouse Suites, each complete with individual spas and butler service and access to the private bi-level Chairman's Club, Trump Taj Mahal epitomizes the true meaning of luxury.
Additionally, The Chairman Tower at Trump Taj Mahal opened in Fall of 2008 and features 782 guest rooms, including 74 suites eight of which are at the Penthouse level and offer full-scale luxury. These suites boast the same striking style, plush amenities and impeccable service for which Taj Tower's legendary Penthouse Suites are so revered.
All Trump Taj Mahal guest rooms offer pillow-top mattresses and luxury bedding with state-of-the art flat screen televisions, high speed internet access, coffee stations, safes, irons and ironing boards, hair dryers, makeup mirrors, on-demand movies, games and digital music and other amenities to make your stay comfortable and memorable.
The Chairman Tower is connected to the original tower via the Spice Road level. Guests can check in at the existing front desk and proceed to the second level to access The Chairman Tower at Trump Taj Mahal.
Guests will enjoy a luxurious residential experience during their stay at The Chairman Tower a rare and pleasing feeling for any traveler. Larger rooms with higher ceilings and modern bathrooms include double sinks recessed into Brazilian granite counter tops, oversized walk-in showers with water closets in a separate room, and other amenities. Each room is equipped with a 50" high-definition plasma TV, an iPod docking station, wireless Internet access and more.
The Chairman Tower suites have a living room and dining area, with a separate bedroom and private bath. They range from 950 to 1,140 square feet and feature floor to ceiling windows for spectacular views of the ocean. Each suite also offers a powder room just off the living room area, as well as a wet bar. Eight suites top off The Chairman Tower.
The overall design of the rooms and suites can be described as streamlined and contemporary, with a rich Asian flair and warm color palette.
A newly-renovated Fitness Center with a near Olympic-size indoor pool will cater to your well being and recreation. The spa also offers Jacuzzis, steam baths, tanning booths and sundecks for relaxing.

40th Birthday Trip
Underwhelming
Overall appearance was disappointing, chipped paint in side and out. Room was clean but no hotel information in rooms on restaurants, room service, etc. The hotel staff was helpful but restaurant service was poor with rude waitresses...with a language barrier. Pool was nice but the bar in the pool area was not open. This hotel did not WOW me.

Good experience
We had a standard room with a king size bed and the room was quite large and comfortable. In the standard room you get hair dryer, safe, coffee machine, soap, shampoo, moisturizer. We adjusted the thermostat and it seemed fine. We asked for an extra blanket and got one immediately. The view was amazing - you could see the ocean and all the other hotels on the strip. We were on the 36th floor - one of the non smoking floors.

Business Trip
I have never stayed a Trump property, and I thought what better way to start than with the Taj. The grand entrance way is a cross between impressive and nauseating. Trump definitely likes a lot of mirrors, gold, and shiny things in his hotel. Maybe at its grand opening it shined, but however many years later...it seems pretty lackluster and tired. I suppose it was a good value @ $69.00

Smoky casinos!
Well the room was wonderful, and they let us in at 3 instead of 4 which the email told us, or 6 on Sunday, which the sign at the start of the line told us. Felt like the hotel wasn't very full, which makes sense off season. Only negatives: Yikes, the nasty smokey casinos! absolutely gagging, I'm sorry! Also, we stayed in Chairman 3 which must have been a mile walk from our car and the lobby, and no directions given, and the signs were terrible. They need to ask newbies if they need a floor plan of the layout so you can get around without exhaustion or being gassed repeatedly!

Very Happy
We spent a few days with our kids in Atlantic City and stayed at the Taj Mahal in the Chairman Tower rooms. We were very happy with our stay. We had a minor snafu at check-in where they could not find our reservation, but after getting everything figured out - we walked into our beautiful room with a GORGEOUS view of the ocean. The only complaint that I can come up with is the limited hours policy at the pool for the kids...it makes for a very crowded pool area since everyone with children is trying to jam into the pool. I'm sure if it had been warmer, my kids would much prefer hanging out at the ocean anyway. Would definitely stay here again!

Did not have our reservation, Staff was not friendly or helpfull, food was poor, not what we thought a Trump hotel would be. Room was average not up to the Trump name. Food carts with half eaten food was left in the hall for 3 days before it was removed.
