Very good value for this location
The hotel is right next to the Path Station which makes it very convenient to get to Manhattan. Rooms are very spacious, which is quite hard to get if we were to stay in a Manhattan hotel. lobby and and public facility seems a little aged, but the room is in good condition. Can't beat the good value at this price!

Short walk from hotel
Hotel Valet parking is $32 dollars. I rent a car from Hertz which is about 5 minutes walk to the hotel, so I was able to park at the Hertz parking lot for free!

Room was just as described and nothing less - great experience from start to finish. Highly recommend this hotel when going to NY - short skip to PATH. Just didn't like the parking fee's to stay at the hotel....

Beautiful hotel/views, great location, but not enough amenities for the price.
PATH train station right next to the hotel, World Trade Center is only one train stop away, Statue of Liberty ferry is only a 30 min walk, and it's right on the Hudson River overlooking NYC. Beautiful room, lobby, bar, outdoor patio. Very clean and the front desk called upon my arrival to see if I needed anything. Not enough amenities considering the high price. They charge you for the bottled water they have in your room and internet service. I would not have stayed at this hotel if it weren't for the half off special.

Short drive from hotel
The ferry station to the Statue of Liberty is only about 30-40 min walk. If you don't mind long leisure walk, you reach there by foot but if you drive, it would be a short one. To reach NYC, you can take PATH train right next to the hotel to WTC. From there, you can transfer to NYC subway system to get around the city. It is only a block away from the PATH WTC stop.

Pre-Xmas Trip
The only thing I would change is the weather but that's no fault of Hyatt's. This place has a great view of the city. Quite a thing to wake up to. Staff was friendly, rooms are clean, and the beds are super comfortable. The deal was too good to pass up.

Great Weekend Stay
I went there with my in-laws to visit NYC. I have been there several times and wanted to avoid the traffic this time. This hotel is all about location. It is a stone's throw away from the exchange place station which gives you easy access to NYC through a 15 min train ride. It also has great views of the Statue Of Liberty and the Manhattan skyline. The rooms are great. They smell fresh and have a great layout with a very cozy sitting area. Overall a great place to stay if you are visiting NYC and don't want to have to deal with the traffic.

Nice Trip
I stayed at the Hyatt Jersey City for a long weekend trip. The bed was comfortable, awesome view, and next door to the PATH train for trips on to the city. Very quick room service and helpful staff.

Unbelievable view of Manhattan
The location of this hotel for it's view of Manhattan is what initially attracted me to this hotel and it is still at the top of my list of reasons to recommend it. The hotel sits directly on the Hudson River with a pier that surrounds it and an adjacent smaller pier to it's immediate south with benches and attached awnings. The Statue of Liberty is in plain view also to the immediate south. The hotel's web site has excellent pics to give more clarity. The Port Authority Subway is less than 50 yards from the hotel for access to Manhattan which is extremely convenient. The service is great except for house keeping and I can also see the quality of the rooms beginning to decline slightly. My bathroom was especially in need of service to the drain pipes but this was not a big problem for me as I was seldom in my room. If you don't mind not being able to walk to Manhattan destinations but love being on the water with great views this hotel won't disappoint. I got tired of staying in pricey Manhattan hotels and still having to deal with bed bugs and roaches. None of that here ! And Newark airport is only ten minutes away. Theres also a mall within walking distance to the north but I did not get a chance to visit it nor the IKEA which is nearer Newark airport.

Just what we needed
The room was wonderful with a view of the Statue of Liberty. The staff was without exception very pleasant and helpful. We needed a location close to the PATH for our visit to NYC and this was as close as it could possibly be.

A visit to The Brownstone on Jersey Ave is well worth the visit. Very busy, very crowded, absolutely sensational pancakes.
