Outstanding Location for Balloon Fest

We had a wonderful view of the Balloon Fest with the Albuquerque mountains as a backdrop. We also had the advantage of the resort's casino. Close proximity to Old Town Albuquerque was also a plus.

you pay for what you get!

I thought I scored a good price. When I arrived I was told my information online did not record so I had to redo filling out registration, which was odd because I never have at other places since I paid online. Then they told me they were giving me a room on the 3rd floor which is a smoking floor but the room is a non-smoking room seeing that I requested for a non-smoking room on website. The room is for a person with disabilities and unless they count daily psychological functioning, I am not physically handicapped. In addition, I think the only reason why it's a non-smoking room is because I am not smoking. There's a freaking ash tray here and every so often I am sneezing. I should have made a note to read the previous review. hah. If I leave now I won't get money back. Great hotel for smokers and kids used to second hand smoke. Otherwise you'd need to pay a bit more to keep from sneezing like me.

This particular hotel had issues. When I booked it and checked in, I was not given the room I asked for . I booked a queen non-smoking and I got a smoking room. The staff obliged me with a handicap queen non smoking on the bottom floor. The room wreaked of cigarette smoke. I found the sink to be flooded with sludge that looked as though ashtrays had been dumped down it. When I brought it to the attention of the front desk they explained the ongoing situation they have with a communal drain of some sort. The third floor is the smoking floor, they said, and everything washes down to the rooms below???? It is cost prohibitive for them to have a plumber deal with it so they purchased their own device to clean the drains??? I had the sludge return time and time again. The fact that there is no maid service unless I was willing to pay for it was a bit disconcerting as well. Room service from the provided menu/local eatery was unbelievably expensive. The cost of delivery was more than the price of the actual food. Not the kind of hotel I was expecting. Internet service was extra, no downstair facility to provide one. Most of the action was in the laundry room...this is afterall an extended stay, take care of yourself kind of place. Don't go there to relax
