Well no, it's not a five-star hotel

but it's great for what it is. I was in town for just one night and needed a place to crash. The gentleman at the front desk was nice, the check-in process was easy, and the room was fine. I didn't expect a great view or gourmet room service. But the television worked, the shower had hot water, and the sheets were clean. To be honest, I don't know if it's in a "good" location (i didn't go out) but it's a very short drive from the university.

Perfect loction perfect place

When we got into Albuquerque we decided to call around & get some prices & details about the hotels. Econo Lodge Midtown had EVERYTHING we needed-FREE breakfast FREE wireless internet & FREE nationwide calls. When we went to check-in the girl remembered my name and got us in our room quickly. She also got us to the hot spots in albuquerque. It was really nice to stay somewhere that you can get information about the city from someone in person! I feel that staying here made our trip alot easier!!

Beyond Bad -- RUN AWAY!!

UNBELIEVABLY BAD. I had to kick trash from around the door to enter my room. The loud doorbell-type alert in the lobby next door kept me awake until all hours. What the room DIDN'T HAVE: phone, bed-side lamp, a functional air conditioner, a lavatory, clothes hangers. What the room DID HAVE: a threhold littered with trash, grungy stains around the door handle, light swtiches controlling nothing, an ancient, musty-smelling refrigerator, a none-too-clean sink (in lieu of a lav), a naked bulb mounted to the wall, and a broken clothes rack. If I hadn't prepaid through the website, I would have left; as it was, I was stuck in a DIRTY, ANTIQUATED ROOM. No breakfast locations nearby and the coffee was undrinkable. STAY AWAY -- this place is AWFUL, even for a two-star hotel!

Check in problem

When I arrived and went to my room there was someone already in the room when I opened the door. They had to find another room for me.
