great hotel for families

Excellent stay. Very nice fitness room with cardio and weight equipment. Good sized indoor pool and hot tub. Great buffet (or made to order) breakfast--they even had soy milk for the cereal. We loved the manager's reception each evening with chips & salsa plus free drinks. The rooms are perfect for families with a separate bedroom and living area. The hotel is close to good and cheap restaurants (near UNM campus) as well as a few museums (just up the road 1 and half miles).

Lots of good restaurants with vegetarian options on Central Ave (up from the hotel) and across from the Univ NM campus.

Nice hotel

We tend to stay at Embassy Suites wherever we go since it is such a great place for family. This particular location had all the familiar ammenitities, but the location (right off the hospital campus) makes it better suited for business travelers. I would prefer being able to walk outside and find things to see without hopping in the car. New looking facility and VERY friendly staff.

Embassy Suites Albuquerque

The Hotel was nice, but the food at the restaurant was not that good. We were there 5 nights and we ate there quite a bit as it was part of a convention there. Obviously, the breakfast since it was complimentary was very so-so and tasteless. Uncooked pancake, tasteless eggs, weak coffee. We had to buy coffee in the little shop in the lobby with Starbucks to get a decent cup. Slow service and don't fill waters or coffee cups. The people were ok, but too busy and not enough staff...management decision I suppose. Room service was ok...sometimes didn't fill the coffee bar and once left a half filled glass on the counter but put a new sanitary cover on it...about what you'd expect at an Embassy Suite Hotel...but the price was pretty high for what it was. I guess it was the free breakfast and happy hour that drove up the price....we don't drink and the food was the worst of any E suites I've stayed in...

Air conditioning was not working

Air conditioning was not working at 100%....hot and stuffy. The shower spray head was mounted high on the wall and when adjusting the spray started to unscrew from the down pipe. The room cleanliness could have been improved on for the rate they charged....$169.00/night. The view from our room was looking into/at the Hotel's AC units....real nice view.
